What a difference a good teacher makes. My music teacher could have cared less. This guy inspires,. and in return he tapped into talent, That may have been passed on undiscovered.

I think the chorus is great. It gives the students somethong positive to do. I wish them all well and encourage all of them not to lose sight of their dreams. All the time you hear how students are rude and so forth, here is an example of good put to use.

Wonderful kids.. but this song is a classic and it allowed gospel music to crossover into mainstream music. It would have been wonderful it they would have sung the song the way the author, Mr. Edwin Hawkins, wrote it. The line is "when Jesus washed my sins away", otherwise who is the "He" they are singing about?  These kids are amazing and I pray that music stays alive in their lives once they graduate and move on from program. Great work all around.

while I wish there was more Christian songs in schools, maybe the fact that you asked who "He" is a good indication that it could even stir someone else's curiosity. As a Christian woman, I know we need to rejoice in the small victories. This is a very well known song and most people know what it's about. The fact that it made it into a public choir is wonderful and the choir did it great justice! Sometimes you gotta snazz stuff up too! ;) GREAT JOB KIDS!
