  • @psyxenon I may be able to help you. I bought one from a girl I studied with some years ago. She knew this guy who made em. I paied 200kr for it. Bout 27 american dollars. If you answer to this post I may be able to come in contact with her and buy you one and ship it.

  • vad är det för flöjt du lirar på?

  • Sounds like something Gjallarhorn have done. I don't remember the guys names in that group though, could be the same people.

  • Do you just whistle into the flute? That's an incredible sound!

  • @antagonist42 no you don't whistle.. you just blow..

the fipple creates the 'whistle' for you

  • @paulflute How do you tune the note, then? I didn't see any fingering except at the base.

  • @antagonist42

    It's all done with harmonics..

when you overblow many wind instruments

you get a series of notes called harmonics..

the begin with large intervals.. an octave then a fifth then a fourth

and get smaller.. higher up the harmonic series there are many notes quite close together..

On this flute he is opening and closing the bottom hole to produce two seperte starting notes (fundamentals) and then overblowing on ech to give 2 different harmonic series..

  • @paulflute by using the overlapping notes of the 2 different harmonic series you can pick out tunes

  • hahahaha

  • great!

  • Thank you, Johannes!

Is it possible to get from somewhere notation for this Råttjäveln? It is running so fast...

  • Thank you for this video. I heard this tune played by Fomp folk-band. I like it. It is really nice.

I make and play willow-flutes. But I know just two traditional tunes for this instrument. Can you help me to get more?

  • Underbar och fin! Det var vackert :)

Jag försöker lära mig den här instrument också... Men vet nånn vad för trä jag kan använda i Kalifornien?

Does anyone know what kind of wood I can use to make one of these in California? :)

  • @LIBERATOR1944

Ja, vi i Fomp ;) använder mest flöjter som är gjorda av plaströr (PVC). 16 mm och uppåt...

  • Fine!

  • how do you change the notes?

  • something with the way of breathing and the finger in the end...

i have this flute....but i'm terrible at playing it :)

  • .....this is only koncovka....

  • No, it's a willow flute!

  • Like it . Like it.. Lovely tune..

    Thanks for sharing.. ;9)

  • Sweet! I'm gonna try to learn this tune. Do you know what the title translates to in English?

  • Swedish "råttjävlen" means "the damn rat" in English.

  • Fakkin great! Just fakking great! Störtskönt...Grym kontroll med övertonerna...

  • Hej!

Kul instrument! Jag måste pröva det i jazzlåtar!

    Johnny

  • Bravo, très jolie !

  • Skön sälgflöjt. Gjort 'n själv?

  • Nice music and great tune :D

    BR/

Krille, Knuts Conny and the rest of Fomp

  • Hi ! Great tune ! Thanks for answering. Are you from Scandinavia ?

    Best regards

    Sam
