I was living in Evansville, IN, at the time this was filmed and was an extra on two different days. It was a BLAST to be part of the movie. Stillwell was played by the nephew of a girl I worked with--whose real name was, believe it or not, Madonna! He was a local kid who auditioned for the part and got it. He fit in perfectly! Love the line "By the way, I loved you in "The Wizard of Oz". Heeeeeeee

How much this kid aggravated me thruout this movie paid off in the end wen he's all grown up...(4 u all who havnt seen this movie: wen he's an adult & is talkin 2 Dottie *Geena Davis* abu how much he loved his mom, & she was so sweet & how he understood how much shit he & his dad made her go thru) it jus felt like a perfect ending 2 his family's story. *he wil b a better man than his dad, & wil 4ever love his mom 4 dealing with him*

This has always been one of the greatest films as far as I'm concerned. It just hit me watching this that the actress who plays Evelyn would make a great Edith Bunker if they did an "All In The Family" movie. LOL! (Altering her appearance to look like Jean Stapleton, of course. Don't know why that hit me. LOL. Just like when I see Danny DeVito, I can easily picture him as a live action Mr. Spacely if they ever did a live action version of "The Jetsons". But yeah, she would make a good Edith.
