Although I have always been a Bolan & T Rex fan, and his influence on the music scene is well documented and self - evident, you can't get away from the fact that as a person he was a self centred, egotistical arse...!!!

Actually, I did (nearly) meet the man at the Granada Studios in August 1977 on the set of the TV prog 'Marc' where my uncle was a cameraman. Unfortunately Marc Bolan threw a hissy fit and refused to come on set until something insignificant was changed to his satisfaction. I understand this was a common occurrence in the latter days and roadies hated working for him. So no, I haven't met him but I'm sure I've been closer than you Mr W Duke, who deifies someone without recognising their faults.
