  • fucking close to the water.

  • One little note though. Australians almost never actually drink fosters. Its more of a beer for the tourists. God only knows the stuffs done more damage to the reputation of australian beers than any number of coopers or little-creatures beers could ever repair.

  • completley agree mate, everyone outside of australia tries to give it to us whenever i am overseas, and are shocked when i refuse.

  • Doesn't "pissed" mean drunk in Australian lingo?

  • yes

  • nice.

  • it means drunk in every english-speaking country

  • Except in America. I've only ever heard that once, and it was described in relation to Australia.

  • Pissed means drunk wherever you are.

  • @enendra Sometimes pissed means angry...

  • @seonf: The two are differentiated by a direction!

If your "Pissed off" your angry

but if you "Piss Up", your getting drunk.

Yeah, we aussies have loopy slang! I admit it!

  • @duckmonsterX and piss off means fuck off basically. and it means that whoevers saying it is pissed. seriously though i thought everyone used pissed?

  • @enendra -- Strictly speaking, the pissing follows the drinking....To "piss away" means "to waste" or "to spend mindlessly", usu. said of one's time and money. I recall a friend of mine was very confused by that line from the Chumbawumba song...I had to set the old Bruce straight, I did.
