  • I love AMD products, there much affordable.

  • What GPU are the using ?

  • why when i oc my cpu i need to bump up the northbridge speed or my comp doesnt start? ut they do not?

  • @Mooseguy15 you have to up the cpu-nb frequency

  • 5000 FUCKING FPS! SWEET SOMERSAULTING JESUS!

  • Finland fuck yeah! ;)

  • 0:27, 1 second gameplay, your welcome

  • can it run minecraft?

  • omg! did he say "3.9GHz @1.5v"... wow, i can hit 5GHz @1.4 with my 2500k! the tech world really moves on!

  • @Orexll 2500k is intel, of course its superior even with the voltages

  • AVERAGE FPS 56 :O

    Thats badass :@

  • Intel is finnish? Holy shit....

  • funny how an AMD 6.6GHz is equivalent in performance to a 4GHz Core 2 E8xxx

  • @AntDX316 I know right LOLz

  • thats nothing compared to pentium 2 and voodoo sli!

  • Can it run minecraft?

  • i like a liquid nitrogen cooled computer please XD

  • hyvä suomalaiset!!!

  • I just NEED to thumbs down that Core i7 comment up there!

  • @PenguinRecordings If i hear "core" and an "i", i just say "shut up" and "die"

  • More tea? ..AMD?

  • I wanted performance numbers!!

  • but will it blend

  • @MatthewTelles that is the question

  • @MatthewTelles Thats the GPU's job.

  • @MatthewTelles screw u!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Woah.

  • i have a hybrid dragon platfrom gpu nvidia

  • i'm happy with my 700mhz pentium

  • yay go Finland!

  • they need to do the test over with the fps one the screen

  • @superbroombroom not even liquid nitrogen can cool that baby

  • But will it run crysi-ahhh come on

  • Can i remove my amd phenom@ 2.5 GHZ and put an AMD phenom2? Or do i ned a new motherboard?

  • @Sieberliebangbang Its depends on the mobo prolly

  • @Sieberliebangbang Is the socket AM2+?

If yes, it may work with a BIOS update

  • @sehguh1 yes

  • why aren't LN2 liquid cooling systems available. i mean all you have to do is replace the water with LN2?

  • Core i7 is better

  • I could OC my X2 to 3.9 on air if I wanted to take the time to. bah.

  • @jacobmcr858 I guess 5 minutes are too important. BULLSHIT. AMD X2's do not overclock for shit.

  • @rsman169 It's already unlocked and OC'ed to 3.6, numbnuts.

  • @jacobmcr858 Even if it was overclocked to 4.5ghz, it would suck. Simply cause the 1-2mb cache those things have.

  • But, can it run cry..... AW DAMMIT!!!

  • the new 6 core AMD cpu is BEAST i got 30 fps on gta4 and 23 fps in crysis with a 9800gt =D

  • @points2shopPROOF i got 40 fps with an i7 920 2.66GHz. so thats not very impressive

  • @henryhenriquez i meant to say i got 30 fps increase in gta4 and 23 fps increase in crysis, just by upgrading to the 1055t cpu. Now i get 44fps on crysis and 52fps on gta4 =D

  • @points2shopPROOF still not very impresive.

  • @henryhenriquez from a $200 dollar cpu!

  • @points2shopPROOF lol mine is also 200 dollars. but i gues you need a better gpu to actually take advantage in games. most games it wont make a difference in cpu but gpu

  • @henryhenriquez i know that -.-'

  • in 20 years im gonna watch this video and laugh

  • @sonyboy97 win, you sir have won the internet

  • core i7 cost 1g fucktards

  • @trigun890 YA THE FULLY UPGRADED ONE

  • some time soon we'll be seen these guys overcloking at 16Ghz when processors come out with stock 8Ghz cores. Only time is the barrier

  • 6.4 nigga

  • wdf are they doing this? i dont see intel doing any if these things

  • should i buy a amd phenom black edition at 4@3.4 GHZ

  • @adolf512 If you have the money. If not I would go with 550 BE 3.1 Socket AM3 and unlock it.

  • @adolf512 if you cant afford to buy intel mobo and high end chip yes. Ive got the 955 black edition and it kicks butt. Ive got mine at about 3.8ghz on air, looking forward to 4.2ghz once i get my watercooling setup. :p

  • i like the coffee cup pouring out the liguid nitro haha

  • noticed HT is @1000

  • Ye team finland gogo my country :)

  • fins are smart they got nokia!

  • ofc :) but not in everything ohh but we made world biggesta cruise ship :) i dont remember was it biggest ship so im not going to say that

  • hhaa

  • Why not just compare the 295 to the hd 5970?

  • 5 series wasnt available :S

Guys. The chip for OCing on a budget or not is Phenom II 550BE. Unlocked to quad core the PII B50 can beat a 945/955 can be OC'd with x 4 @ 3.8ghz on air.

With good cooling 2 x 5ghz is achievable.

If you cant get a good X 4 unlock then should get a x3 with a good mobo that allows each core to be managed

  • and can be ad for under £75

  • I have 550BE but i dont think i can unlock it to quad with my bios :/

  • @CheatEnginer

it depends on weather you have ACC/NVCC Active

    mobo

you may need a moded bios.

  • Dont want to mess with my bios, because ppl say that bios update may fail, and if it fails, your system is dead :(

  • @CheatEnginer Hmm What bios do you have and what MB

  • @homeshadowpurple

Asus M3N-HT Deluxe hdmi <- mobo

Phoenix Technologies LTD ACPI bios revision 1901 <- bios

  • hi. i have a compter an i m pretygood at this. ive don e alot of buldinm n stuff. eye hav a oil computrre my dad made it?? o U think u can beet me??? i did 6.4 gigga herts. ibm

  • i just bought an AMD 945 x4 core and it runs so smooth.. only costs about $150 on newegg :)

  • Omg 5870

  • I wish i had a better processor than my wimpy 2.2 GHz. though i would like a 2.6 or a little higher so i can actually do more.

  • AMD 720BE X3 is pretty cheap now, stock 2.8 but can go to 3.7 stable. Check it out.

  • I wish they'd show more of the game running at 6Ghz

  • Comparing the 5870 to the 295 is retarded. One is a single gpu card the other is dual. The proper comparison is 5870 to 285 and the 5870 wins hands down.

Right now the 295 is an overpriced card for the performance it provides.

  • isnt the 295 just two 260 gpus?

cause then the right comparison to the 295 would be the 4870 x2

  • You can look at it like that too but either way the 295 5870 comparison is flawed. It's 2 275s btw.

The problem with it isn't raw performance, it's the price/performance ratio compared to ATIs new generation offerings.

Even for someone who wants a dual gpu card buying the 295 right now is a bad idea with ATI's new ones around the corner.

  • lol 5970 in the uk is double the gtx 295's price and the 5970 is the the 5870x2 im 90% sure

  • 5970 beats crossfire 5870 so...

  • i think quad gtx 295s will be equal if not a lil more powerful and cheaper still but we will neva know to some rich does some benchies

  • quad sli consumes to much energy and its to hot..

    the gtx295 is still expensive...

    i will prefer a 5970...

  • yh but if you threw in water colling it would be a lil more exspensive than the 5970 but a stronger setup

  • yes...

  • @rathy21 it is imposible to have four 295, cuz the card it self is a dual gpu

  • lol that is what you call dual gpus in sil/crossfire because it is a quad setup

  • lol the funny thing is a core i7 920 @4.0ghz on air will yield more frames than that cpu

  • crysis is for nvidia no for ati amd is very good

  • @xfollador ... Dude it doesn't matter, i have a HD 3650 with intel pentium 4, you could also put a Nvidia card with a AMD cpu.

  • i7 860 and an ati radeon HD 4670 =D and my friend with an AMD athlon x2 with a Nvidia 7800GT

  • AMD has done a great job with his new AMD Phenom II, very cheap, faster.... very nice processor

  • WHAT MOTHERBOARD WAS THAT????

  • can you play FS 2002 in that processor (joking)?

  • They probably can't even play Duke Nukem with that shit.

  • WOW, AMD is great for overclocking again!

  • At what Frame rate.

I hate it when they do that, :(

    Cool though! :P

  • well for the 6.5ghz video i saw 140 fps. this is probably around 126-127

  • Thank you!

  • @Xigmatek Around 120+ ALL High. Thats cool (:

  • @Xigmatek it's about 45-55 if you pause the vid at the gameplays

  • Do you get outside much?

  • Runescape?

What you packing a Geforce2Mx inside your computer?

    Watch out hes got 512MB PC-100 ram!!!1!

  • lolcopter

  • lol

  • It's a Coolermaster Hyper Z600. It's the one i have on my 9950.

  • im guessing that heatsink thing is a coolermaster v8.....or something like that :P

  • CoolerMaster Hyper Z600r.

  • AMD phenom II X4 AM2+ (940) quad-core 3.0ghz Black Edition for sale. brand new, never used, boxed. tube of Artic silver 5 included. heatsink/fan included. contact if intersted.

  • i7 = dogshit

  • stfu fanfag

  • Hes right, hideously overpriced and delivers no increase in performance in games. Better to spend the money on a better gpu.

  • I want One of those processors.....

  • woo i luv my intel q6600 2.4 ghz my fav processor

  • What GPU and CPU do I need to be able to play Crysis on high settings without any lagg at all?

  • Wait about 1-2 more years and you will find out (not sarcasm, I'm being serious).

  • AMD Phenom 2 or Intel core quad

    BFG geforce 9800 GTX

  • phenom II or core i7, take your pick

  • Or you could get an i7 and GTX 295.

  • Or you could get a Core i7 and 5870.

  • The GTX 295 is better than the Radeon HD 5870 unless you are running super high resolution on some games. Most games the frame rate is close on max settings. But the 295 blows the 5870 away on slightly lower settings. If you are on a tight budget the 5870 would be a better option.

  • Nope not at all. The performance difference is so slight as to not matter, and at enthusiast settings, which anyone buying this kind of hardware is going to be playing at, they are about dead even. Except, the 295 is about $100 more, doesn't scale well on older games, is only DX10 compatible, and limited to two displays.

So really the best choice out of those two is undoubtedly the 5870. Buying ANYTHING else today in the high-end is foolish.

  • or you could get an AMD 955 Black edition and a 5770 for cheaper! and still amazing performance for 300 bux

  • @mygaffer This wasn't trying to show off how high a processor can get, but rather how much you can over-clock a processor and still maintain it's stability.

  • @TheGuyInUrCloset No shit sherlock? The kind of cooling required to hit these clocks means that no one is going to be trying to run at these clocks 24/7. I am big into overclocking and don't need to be told by you why they are doing this. My post was answering someone else's post about what computer hardware is best to buy in today's market.

  • @mygaffer i got those 2 they work great :)

  • @mygaffer If he is a gamer ...I would say HELLL NO get amd3 with Nvdia 300 or intel and Nvdia.Seriouslly for game ati = Big troble tweaking...

  • @Agremen "ATI=Big trouble tweaking" Really? What does that even mean? ATI's last two generations of cards have overclocked WAAAAY better than Nvidia's last two generation of cards. Right now ATI has a way better value proposition in terms of their available products.

Don't forget, Southern Islands is going to be out by the end of the summer/early fall.

Intel and ATI have the best products out right now and what everyone should be looking at.

Even though I am a fan of AMD.

  • @mygaffer or you could get a Core i7 Extreme ...

  • @mygaffer or you can get a huge tank of liquid stuff, helium or hidrogen, and have your room smoking the whole time hahaha

  • @mygaffer dont get sandy bridge unless you want a faulty chipset motherboard.

  • @pickyantivirus Who said anything about Sandy Bridge? They aren't selling the bad boards anymore and in shortly over a month they'll have corrected ones on the market. Don't make a mountain out of a molehill.

I just hope Bulldozer is competitive but with rumored clock speeds of 3.5Ghz I don't have hope that it will win any per clock battles.

  • @mygaffer im stating facts you mouthy little prick, also bulldozer will be higher Ghz but not as fast. but about 3/4 the price

  • @pickyantivirus Oh, did I get you upset? Anyway, you don't know what you are talking about.

  • @mygaffer i know nothing, ok expalin the latest architecture used in these next gen amd processors

  • @pickyantivirus Lets see you explain it. The real specifics have not been released but there are plenty of articles detailing the overall design on the web I could regurgitate for you in roughly 400 characters or less. You are so sad.

  • @mygaffer i can explain it, and you clearly cant because you dodged the question like a fucking politician. oh By the way im a hardware tech so have to be "sad", but earning loads of money and enjoying my job is more important than being called "sad" over the internet. lmao get a life you little cunt.

  • @pickyantivirus Sure you are and sure you can. Why don't you then? Oh, because you are full of shit, thats right. Put your money where you mouth is or shut up so none of use here have to see you keep embarrassing yourself. What a whiny bitch you are.

  • @pickyantivirus dude, chill. This guy is a cunt and doesn't have a life because he thinks that an i7 or 5870 will perform better?

@mrgaffer I'm surprised that you still responded to a comment in time after 1 year. :P

  • Core i7 920, 6 GB DDR3 Tri-channel ram, ATI HD 4890 video card, and a cosair solid state hard drive 128 GB with windows 7 RC. total cost < $1,000

  • mobo?

  • lol is the liquid nitrogen for the cooling

  • yes

  • lol well youre not going to get 6ghz on air :3

  • BTW the phenom has a new world record in the cpu clocking. LimitTeam has overclocked it 7.1GHz

  • the phenom II runnin' at 3.2GHz only costs $220. So your better off getting it than the 3.33GHz Core 2 Duo for $270

  • Comment removed

  • i just got a phenom II x2 550 dual core 3.1ghz processor for like 170$

  • the x4 940 is like 190 ;o

  • Damn, you could have gotten a quad for about that much.

  • I heard nothing but good things about the new Phenom 2. :)

Hurting intel bad! It almost seems like until is losing a lot of their bias fan-boys too. Did anyone notice the excess intel commericals on tv lately? They are advertising more again because they fear AMD!

  • Yes i have noticed the advertisement i think that intel makes there products expensive so that people think there products are the best out there which AMD is just as good or even better

  • The core i7 is selling for $279 for the 920, but I agree that the Phenom ii 955 is a great processor

  • The Phenom II 955 3.2ghz is now $215. I don't know how it stands in performance, but i kno you can make a good gaming pc or media pc for that price

  • If you're going to go AMD, then wait a few months. Some new tech is coming out in the pipeline that will really speed things up. An octocore, 45 nm tri-channel supporting, USB 3, chipset and motherboard is going to hit the market late 2009 they say.

  • ridiculous where did you hear that from?

  • if u just want a media pc u dont need all that great of a processor

  • You can find them for under $200 easily. But most of the extra cost comes from the X58 and DDR3.

  • Socket AM3 is running off of DDR3 as well, and the X58 boards have fallen a lot. I priced a foxconn board off Newegg at $171. Not too cheap, but not exactly expensive.

  • It was probably a Crossfire-only board. I agree though, both i7 and Phenom II are affordable at this point.

  • actually the Phenom II 955 is now $215

  • you know i have a pII940 @ stock which I don't have time to OC but I assume I could pull a 3.4 with my 500w seasonic PSU

I would just get a dualcore e8400/720BEX3and two HD4890s or the 5870upcoming or even just one invest the big bucks in stuff like phase change cooling ... which gets your shit to -50c constant ... shit has to be so cash + it;s a futureproof investment.

  • how many FPS did they get?

  • And BTW, the Phenom II 940 completely decimates the Core 2 Quad Q6600 in terms of performance. It's funny how you tell me that I should check benchmarks when I'm looking at some that prove what I just said. Also, it's faster than the Core 2 Quad Extreme Q9650, and that's ridiculously more expensive than the Phenom II 940.

  • im not even going to continue arguging to you acctually use google.

  • You're not going to argue because you have no argument at all and because you know the truth but you're so delusional that you don't want to accept it. I've already checked three benchmarks involving the Core 2 Quad and the Phenom II 940 and it wins in all tests.

  • the phenom 2 actually outperforms all intel core i7's in SOME games

  • Yes I know Phenom II 940's are good.

I'll compare a Phenom II 945 and Q9950, both the same price at tigerdirect. There is a difference to both. The Phenom has a higher clock speed and bus speed. It also has an l3 cache of 6mb, and the q9950 has a 12mb l2 cache. Also, the Q9950 has a lower wattage usage, 95w compared to the 945's 125. In general I guess you could say the 945 is faster, but you'd have to use both to ACTUALLY TELL. A real enthusiast tries 'em all out.

  • Remember that the Phenom II also has 1MB L2 cache and that it has L3 cache, which the Core 2 Quad lacks. L3 cache communicates faster than L2 cache. AMD's architecture is also inherently faster because it doesn't require for the processor and other parts to pass through to the memory controller.

The Phenom II performs faster in most games compared to the Core 2 Quad Extreme, and in some against the Core i7. If you're a gamer, deciding between the two should be a no-brainer.

  • Well If I had the money, I would pick any i7 over the 945, because all i7's have larger L3 Caches, and hyper threading, which people do not realize is quite useful. Though the 945 is still a great choice for games. That and gpu's are well more important than the cpu in terms of gaming. IE; you can't play crysis with a 945 and an ati rage 128, but you can with a gtx 295.

  • The Core i7 and the Phenom II 945 perform almost the same in gaming. Like I said, the Phenom II is faster in some games, and the Core i7 in others. Are you seriously implying that if you were getting a CPU you'd get the Core i7 even though it costs more and delivers the same performance in games? That would only prove that the Core i7 is just used for bragging rights and nothing else.

  • I don't do all gaming. A lot of my work is in rendering. Gaming isn't everything. Gaming is basically a benchmark.

  • Then waste over nine thousand dollars on a Core i7, which will render in awesome 30 seconds faster.

  • No, I would spend only 30 dollars more.
