this trailer makes the game look amazing, out of this world, but still no tenchu competes with the first game but this trailer made it seem like this was going to be equally as good as the first but the fighting style was lame and it wasnt the same tenchu, still worth getting though

Second, your stealth kills are decided by what angle you are at when you perform it.
Front, back, right side, left side, from above, or on a slope. At least that was how it was in tenchu 3

The ps2 was the weakest system of the last generation. The gamecube was the strongest I believe. The wii is stronger than the gamecube. So it may not be cutting edge, but as long as the fix the camera issues, I'll be happy.

Sigh, I enjoyed the old Tenchu series tremendously but when it goes on the wii I'm a little saddened. My dad bought a wii and I knew it was a mistake because you can only go so far with the wii. As innovative as it is it doesn't allow a player with the control they need to make the game great. This is just my personal opinion, I'm eager to see how the story develops in this latest Tenchu.

That wasn't gameplay footage of Ayame jumping on branches, it was just a cutscene. I doubt you can do it in the game. I have yet to see a hint of aerial, grappling hook or rooftop shennanigans. Without that Tenchu just isn't Tenchu, period.
Tenchu was THE GAME back then. It was so unique and cool. Now it needs a very big improvement. And it must be on ps3. Just like how MGS developed from ps1. I'm sure people will say GTA4, MGS4 and Tenchu when they talk about ps3 in future. I don't knw about Tenchu Z. That game didn't look like tenchu game it was more like mix of Ninja Gaiden and the original Tenchu.
Well the game isn't coming out till October so we may yet see a tweaking. If the in game graphics get to look as good as they do in the cutscenes I'd be quite happy, but they at the moment they look very rough and the animations are stiff as well.
Eh, I don't think so. The first 2 Tenchu games for the PSX had perhaps the worst graphics I've ever experienced. The series has never had good graphics, at least nothing on par with the standards expected at the time of each release. I know everyone wants to see the Tenchu series in glorious high def, with realistic this and that, but the series hasn't been doing well enough to warrant the investment. Maybe after the Wii release we'll see...

Well Tenchu 3 ended with the prospect of Onikage and Mei-Oh returning, but I think Acquire are trying to distance this game from that one somewhat. It is set one year after the events of T3, that's for certain and Acquire have revealed that a new trilogy is in the works, so perhaps this game is part of a build up to Mei-Oh's return. Personally I'd be happy if neither of them returned, I don't like characters who refuse to die :b

WOH wasn't made by Acquire. All the Tenchu games since BOTSA have been made by K2 and From Software. In my opinion WOH was perhaps the worst because they absolutely butchered the storyline and filled it with infantile nonsense. The whole concept of a stealth game was lost and it played like a loud Saturday morning anime. Fatal Shadows could've been better, but From didn't allow K2 enough time to finish so the end result was a bit shoddy. Tenchu:Z was just a multiplayer spinoff.

There are some illustrations showing her with the blades on her back as usual. But you'll see in the gameplay sequences that neither character has a blade equipped. They either stealth kill guards using the guard's own weapon, or with their bare hands.
From what I gather in the trailer, Ayame steals Izayoi from Rikimaru, probably because she doesn't want it used against her.

The title coming to PS3 is going to be an enhanced port of the original BioShock. But yes, I did read that they are looking into developing a future BioShock title for the Wii.
So pleased they've chosen to ignore the crap storyline of T3. This one seems deeper. Rikimaru and Ayame aren't partners anymore and it's got something to do with Kiku. Ghoda seems to have ordered Ayame's "Tenchu" or execution. There's trouble a brewing. And doesn't the music fit the mood? I can tell this will be epic.
Unfortunately I can't. But Ghoda clearly tells Rikimaru to deliver "Tenchu", and Sekiya looks quite shocked, so I'm guessing that Ayame has done something against his will and it obviously involves Kiku.
yeah Goda says "Tenchu" to Rikimaru. is that mean Ayame gonna be turn a bad person and Rikimaru shall kill her??? Well maybe this storyline there something 3rd person behind this. i dont know its like some tragedy of Azuma Ninja.
I don't think Ayame necessarily becomes a bad person, she was always wild and not nearly as devoted to Lord Ghoda as Rikimaru is. Clearly she has disobeyed him somehow, but she's obviously doing what she thinks is right. She can't be a bad person if she's trying to protect Kiku.
There might be a significance to that maid dressed in green with the sly expression on her face. Perhaps she has been spreading lies, working to break the Azuma from within.

I've played Tenchu 1, 2 (finished it), and have Wrath of Heaven and Fatal Shadows (finished them both as well).

It's Ayame. There's no sign of Rin in this game. She was a character designed by K2 so possibly Acquire won't want anything to do with her.

Fatal Shadows could've been better, but From didn't allow K2 enough time to finish so the end result was a bit shoddy. Tenchu:Z was just a multiplayer spinoff.

ah, lol i always thought tht was the worst of the trilogy for some reason, crap dialogue and i didnt too much like the multiplayer, but still i hope this one will be good tenchu 1 and 2 were the best games i ever played, i bought a wii chip just so i could download this from japan as soon as it comes out.

at 1:18 when Ayame is fighting Rikimaru , does she have her blades? it's like.. not Ayame without her Wakizashi. :| is she going to die in this game?

There are some illustrations showing her with the blades on her back as usual. But you'll see in the gameplay sequences that neither character has a blade equipped. They either stealth kill guards using the guard's own weapon, or with their bare hands.
From what I gather in the trailer, Ayame steals Izayoi from Rikimaru, probably because she doesn't want it used against her.

The title coming to PS3 is going to be an enhanced port of the original BioShock. But yes, I did read that they are looking into developing a future BioShock title for the Wii.

So pleased they've chosen to ignore the crap storyline of T3. This one seems deeper. Rikimaru and Ayame aren't partners anymore and it's got something to do with Kiku. Ghoda seems to have ordered Ayame's "Tenchu" or execution. There's trouble a brewing. And doesn't the music fit the mood? I can tell this will be epic.

Unfortunately I can't. But Ghoda clearly tells Rikimaru to deliver "Tenchu", and Sekiya looks quite shocked, so I'm guessing that Ayame has done something against his will and it obviously involves Kiku.

yeah Goda says "Tenchu" to Rikimaru. is that mean Ayame gonna be turn a bad person and Rikimaru shall kill her??? Well maybe this storyline there something 3rd person behind this. i dont know its like some tragedy of Azuma Ninja.

I don't think Ayame necessarily becomes a bad person, she was always wild and not nearly as devoted to Lord Ghoda as Rikimaru is. Clearly she has disobeyed him somehow, but she's obviously doing what she thinks is right. She can't be a bad person if she's trying to protect Kiku.
There might be a significance to that maid dressed in green with the sly expression on her face. Perhaps she has been spreading lies, working to break the Azuma from within.

This is made by the director of Tenchu 1 & 2 which were excellent, so this should make up for the horrities that was Z and Wrath of Heaven.
