I remember catching this on USA's Up All Night, back in the day. It IS the worst zombie movie I've ever seen. I've even seen Garden of the Dead and Toxic ZombiesAt least those I could get through.
I just finished watching this on NicoNico Douga. If it weren't for the comments, I may have given up in Part 3. If there is anyone out there who understands Japanese who is reading these comments and has not seen this movie yet, you have got to watch it on NicoNico!! The comments make this movie worth watching. :D
@tiiito1988 Definitely, no doubt... actually House of the Dead (even though I hate the director's other movies) is a more of aguilty pleasure for me now, after watching it a second time I realized how fun the actual zombie killing part of it is, give it another spin, it's cheesy as hell but the pace is spot on, the action is cool, the dialogue and atmosphere is bmovie in a good way... whereas raiders of the living dead is just like you're in the land where time stand still, uneventful and lame.
The opening is pretty much the only great thing about this movie. When I first watched it and saw the opening, I thought I was in for a fairly decent low-budget zombie movie but noooooooooo... its the worst zombie movie I ever watched right next to Corpses Are Forever.
That's exactly how I felt when I first watched this movie (not that I have watched it twice, but anyway..), I agree with 99% of your comment, except the part where you say that the intro is pretty much the only great thing about this movie, it's the only "thing" about this movie hehe I survived through it to extract an exploding head for my next video and that's it, probably going to revisit it in the future, it's so bad that's almost fascinating. Regards
There's hardly any zombie action in the movie which is a disappointment since I'm really a big fan of zombie movies. I was expecting to be so bad its good but this just fails in an epic way. If you haven't watched Corpses Are Forever, I can say its just as bad as this movie LMAO.
Hehe give it a go! It is very bad indeed, I can appreciate cheesy awful movies but this was bad in some kind of surreal way, it gets to your nerve... it's just bland and pointless, there's 80s bad movie where you can find fun spotting the outfits and cheesy dialogue and effects, it's not the case here.. of course you have a totally different impression, that's the magic of it.
I have to quote my friend in saying,' This is more of an endurance test than a movie'. But, GOD THAT'S A CATCHY TUNE!
I got roped into it by the awesome cover, and while it failed to deliver in anything the box art had to offer, it had some pretty good zombie effects. All in all this is for die hard zombie fans only, and even then...
Good thing about this song is the lyrics, if you listen to them they really makes you think about what it means to be on the run from zombies. It provides a fascinating insight in to the emotions experienced when being chased by zombies. It makes me realise how I would never want to become one of their human meals.
There are low budget and poor movies out there, but this one is both and MUCH more. Bad acting and dialog, plot is lame/doesn't make sense at times and has boring lulls, poor sound in many places, cheezy "special effects", just plain awful. I can't believe they made it that bad on purpose, or did they :-)
Anyway, I saw this uh, movie years ago on a local show "big bad movie" and they said it might be the worst movie ever! I want to get it on DVD !
im getting this movie, to see how bad it really is, i saw another clip where a girl is talking on the phone, saying 'i just dont want to get involved with anybody right now' then like two seconds later she says yes to going on a date, odd!!!
hehe that's a good example of what you're up against when watching this movie, and man I'm totally buying the special edition with this and two other movies (sequels I believe), which btw look even worse. I totally want that in my collection, it's an acquired taste, a challenge, like eating expensive bugs, but they're still bugs...anyway, it's very very bad, boring and makes absolutely no sense at all, mind you.

I just finished watching this a few minutes ago, and immediately came to youtube hoping i could find the intro song. Worst movie I've ever seen.

"The dead are after me!" That is scary! I'd hate to have Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir pissed at me!

@cruz03 I still think that Hard Rock Zombies was the worst in terms of storyline. However, the acting in this movie is horrible.
