so why did raekwon rhyme on these tracks if he didnt like the production?.....funny thing is everyone sounded dope on the album......i still wish rza had better beats
You notice how everyone licked shots at RZA for the new direction he went with his production here, but the next year peoples' beats had guitar all over them? RZA is so ahead of the game, everyone else is struggling to catch up. Best Wu album so far, as far as production goes. " The Heart Gently Weeps" is definitely is definitely in the top 5 Wu songs of all time... till the next album, anyway.
@coleon8 Which song of hers? I mean, I've heard These Boots Are Made For Walking and Bang Bang, but I have to admit, beyond that I'm not really familiar with her music.
@coleon8 Yo, I appreciate the info. Thanks man. Yeah, like I said, I'm not super familiar with her work. It doesn't surprise me that I didn't recognize it. It's really rare to hear RZA use a sample like this, though. Usually, if he uses samples instead of live instruments, He'll sample one note from here, and one from there. I remember in The Wu Tang Manual he said it took him something like 60 to 70 samples to make an average 2 bar loop during the 36 Chambers era.
@thatladfromsheffield I don't care if he was cryin'. It's still better than this dirty south shit i'm hearing.WU TANG CLAN AIN'T NOTHIN' TO FFFF WIT", DUMMIES. S.C.'s BEST RAPPER!
yo im a hustla i grind til my pack is done, give the seed that knowledge til they crack and run. cant nobody fuck wit me im just too nice, smack niggaz in they head everytime i write. yo im straight from Parkhill where the guns is poppin', where the lil black kids do they grocery shoppin'. go to school fucked up, its Africa Island, we' poor in the bricks but i nside theres nuttin but talent - Cappa
@TheRapMogul hell yeah this is the shit, my shit. icouldn't stop listening for days. i heard the rest of the album like two days later. GOD DAMN! WU TANG FOREVER IN SOUTH CAROLINA. i've been a fan since '94 and will die one. WU TANG FOREVER AND EVER!
0:04 the womans voice doing that singing thing in the background is from diary of a madman by gravediggaz :D Just noticed and ive listened to both many many times
proud to live in a period of prolific rap! 2007 was one of the best year for new hip hop age. We got so much wonders: HH lives, finding forever, disere, indisputed truth, the cool, american gangster, eardrum, 8diagrams, getback, bayani, graduation, underground kingz (rip), ultimate victory, TI vs TIP, free at last, none shall pass, port of authority, rise up (seph and azeem), BARS, dont quit your day job, jazzmatazvol4 and so much! my only disapoitment : from nothing to something by you know WHO
YoungEazyE Fall Back. This Album Is Tight (Thats My View)RZA Is Light Years Ahead Of The Game And These Bling Bling Clowns On The Radio And Those That Support That Type Of Bullshit Music. And I Don't Care What GHOST,RAE,U-GOD Likes Or Dislikes The RZA Made WU-TANG A Family Team Since 1993.So Yeah I Shake My Head At (BET/MTV/VH1/And Them Corny Radio Stations Playing All That Commercial Shyt) Not You YoungEazy So Pump Your Brakes.REAL HIP HOP MUSIC IS FOREVER!

"WINDMILL" One Of My Favorite"8 DIAGRAMS" Tracks And For All Of Yall That Thinks This Album is Trash I'll See You In A Few Years From Now.(Shakes Head U Never Know What U Have Intell It's Gone!)"REAL HIP HOP MUSIC LIVES FOREVER!
well some of the Wu didnt like 8 Diagrams anyway so..i ges u'll "see [them] In a Few Years From Now", yeah shake ya head to that, and i aint hating either, Rae, Ghost, & U-god atleast wasnt feeling it
but that is an ignorant fucking comment. i don't know what anyone is talking about, rza is at the top of his game. Windmill, unpredictable, rushing elephants, take it back, gun will go, watch your mouth.........it goes on. the beats on this album are as wu as ever. i'll admit that overall it could ahve been a bit darker or heavier but they have some shit up their sleeves for the solo projects.
Dats fukt up since RZA wanted this album to b worldwide focus when others wanted the album to be straight hood!! I been fuckin wit da Wu from da begining so dis shit gets mad playin time in my whip!!
