This actually speak about how all of the ideologies are the same and how people serve to any kind of state model. They dance as music plays (or, they act how they told them to act).
ah well. the answer where theyre from is mentioned is here in the comments. just noticed it again after i posted. - and something more to "mymindsdesease" : rammstein was not a popular band here. it was almost the opposite, they were only mentioned as a sidenote sometimes in media because of they sound nzi-like (which was negative). they only got big after they earned millions of dollars in america and were promoted back here again as a "in the US very popular germans"
Well...the nazi imagery was very powerful, a sea of soldiers in matching uniforms with neat hair and armbands really entranced people....this is most likely a decision of image over personal politics...and besides, shock value has always sold records in germany, rammsteins success could partially be due to their ability to record songs w/o fear or censorship. This is the case for Laibach...I think anyway.
@MyMindsDisease lol, wtf you talking about ? that "singer" cannot even talk proper german. no idea where this guys are from but it seems they dont understand a word they talk about. he just combines some random words and has a russian or whatever accent. that sounds like it comes out of a google translator smtimes- seriously.
@ichlieberave They're part of a Slovenian political art collective that focuses on "the complicated relationship Slovenes have had with Germans". The juxtaposition of the Slovenian accent on top of purposefully overdone Nazi imagery is part of the artform. "NSK [the art collective] art often draws on symbols drawn from totalitarian or extreme nationalist movements, often reappropriating totalitarian kitsch in a visual style reminiscent of Dada." Search for Neue Slowenische Kunst on Wikipedia.
@ichlieberave Your comment made me lol.... because every song you've heard on the radio is spoken in perfect English right? Because are no such things as dialects and accents right? The band hails from Slovenia which sits on Austria's southern border. He speaks a Germanic language that is close to German but differs slightly.
So next time you feel like typing out another poorly thought out comment..... don't.
i got a answer to my post a few months ago, this person said "leibach" is some kind of art-project from... well i dont remember from where, finland or something near russia which explains why the text is so weird and russianlike. - and as answer to your flame: im from germany thats why my english isnt perfect. i dont care how ppl sing or talk, but "mymindsdesase" explained this group with the argument that this guys are german which is really just wrong if youre a native speaker

@ichlieberave For someone so critical of some one else's way of speaking, your grammar has yet to reach that of 2nd grade level.
