Best of Luck Erin. It's really sad to leave someplace you made memories in; it almost feels like leaving part of yourself behind. But you will make new memories in your place in SF. Soon it will feel like the home you left. It isnt the building it is the people in your life that makes it warm, loving and a safe place to be.

aww.. cheer up Erin. At least the hard part of moving is over. The west coast is beautiful! You'll get there, open up those two metal boxes and all your stuff will be in there. And then you can go through the exciting task of setting up your new place just the way you like it. I know you love your old house and the "home" it and New York was for you, but you've got all the home you need in the relationship that you and Morgan share together. The place doesn't really matter. :)

Hi Erin!...you & Morgan had a lovely home. Watching this video brought back memories of all the moves my family have made (my dad was in the Army).

I always felt a little strange, & maybe a bit sad moving away from the familiar & setting up somewhere new, but still kind of excited at the prospect of those new surroundings.

Bittersweet experience, I should say.

And, yes, life does have little cycles within cycles. For example, looking out that same small window to your garden when you first moved in then when you're leaving.

But San Francisco is a great city from what I've heard and there is a ready-made YT community there: Nutcheese, Sign543, Zipster, et al. Who knows, maybe you two can look them up.
