  • for fuck's sake, people, who gives a shit if the show is british or american or norweigian or whatever! if it's a great show, it's a great show. i mean, yeah, some american shows are shit, but so are tons of shit shows in different countries. so we can't speak in british accents-- you can't speak in american either. who cares. just appreciate quality work when it's given to you

  • HOLY FUCKING LORD OF EVERYTHING GOOD IN LIFE AND EUFHSFKJHSJKDHSJDKDHFJKSDJKHF

  • @musicandlove516

I totaly agree... XD... in a good way XD...

  • And then they had a baby...

  • Paul Abbot created both. The US version is far more cinematic. And it's grittier. This is shot more like a soap opera, but I like it. Also , they seem way poorer in the US version.

  • I don't get why they stopped fucking so suddenly and got all scared when the cop knocked on the door. That was dumb to me. They could've been way more cool about that. I know I would've

  • @DjembeSauce

    I´m not...

Because it is NEVER good, when the police is standing at your front door in the middle of the night...

It would scare me to death... There could have happened something worse! Like "I´m sorry, but your father... is dead" or something...

  • So pardon my ignorance of the BBC - this show is/was aired for free in the UK, correct? In the states, only pay channels are able to air programs with profanity and nudity. Do shows like this air late at night with some kind of warning or rating system? Just wondering...

  • @intrsoul As (sadly accurately) stated by Sharon Brovlowski in the South Park film, "the usa is free to show graphic violence 24 hours a day, so long as they don't say any naughty words".

american logic is kinda fckd eh?

  • American version is much better, but I think miss there James McAvoy

  • @TheTrailercreator

    No kidding. Thanks, professor.

  • i like this because some of the events dont make sense in America

  • its impossible to follow their cockney accents at 2am when the volumes own

  • @acz0190 To be fair though they don't have cockney accents because it's not set in the East End of London. They actually have a Mancunian accent because it's set in Manchester.

  • Don't attack me (for the love of cheese puffs) but I don't think the American version is that bad. And yes, I watched this version first, and yes I hate when Americans steal from England (like in the case of Skins) but at the same time it isn't bad. I watched the first twenty minutes of episode 1 and they got most of it right.

  • @CelestianPyro they got most of it right but the way their lines are read is just so less irresistible.. not everything stolen from england sucks (the office) however just having old frank yell "Debbie sent by god's all angel" is way too priceless to be renewed.

  • @CelestianPyro LOL.. "American steal from England"?? hahaha.... They remade the show. The U.S version is so much better. The US casts are much good looking than the Brit casts.

  • @ryukos So if the actors are prettier than the show is better..."Great logic! I love the way you think!!! I'm sure you didn't mean it as discrimination!" By the way .... I think that the us and uk versions are very different and cannot be compared because you can clearly see the different backgrounds and if the producers/director/ actors of the us version are smart enough to evidentiate that than we've got a good show if not than the copy is not worth mentioning.

  • Not that I don't like Twilight, because I love it. But Harry Potter is a million times better. Not just because there are more Harry Potter films than Twilight films, but because Harry has still kept my attention and never left me bored at any part in the series, even after so many of them.

  • Hell citizenanna, I guess that makes me a perv lol...cause that sex scene was HOT!

  • LMAO

  • It's about time--wouldn't find people goin at it (like real people do) on our shows in the U.S.--Seriously awesome entertaining!!!And I'm not a perv either!!

  • I have been hooked on this show since Time Warner started showing Sundance free. I love this show, I just don't understand a lot of what they r saying!!

  • wow that's what I call banging!

  • And also what does James' say between 7:01-7:08

  • Can anybody tell me what the expression "don't take the piss out of me" is supposed to mean???

  • It means don't make fun of me

  • It means "Dont make fun of me"

  • taking the piss out of someone is a british phrase for making fun of someone

  • Brilliant. I'm from the US and no other show or shows for that matter are greater than British shows like these.

  • Wrong.

  • What's wrong?

  • Your assertion that this British shows are better than American shows. Absolute bullshit.

  • NO Most of the shows that America puts on is Bullshit. Most of them are rip-offs from the Brits. You know Life on Mars: British; Shark Tank: British version Dragon's Den. The list goes on and on and on.

  • Let's not forget:

All in the Family - taken from 'Till Death us do part'

Three's Company - taken from 'Man About the House'

  • Actually Dragon's Den started in Japan. The world steals shit from everyone. Every country shows good local programming, it's just what you're into and what you can find. I dont care about the UK vs US. I'm Canadian.

  • @supervacaneous Thank you. everywhere, you will find shows you like and ones you dislike, its ridiculous to try and claim artistic superiority for a country when it concerns such a large body of work. Just be glad for the shows that both these nations provide and don't pay attention to the ones that dont interest you.

  • @supervacaneous yeah but america steals from everyone else...!!!

  • @ThaSweetHart

sorry but brits can artistically beat americans most of the time easily xD

it's like that harry potter vs. twillight thing..

harry potter is (way) better! and guess what.. harry potter was written by a british writter.. and that (lame) twillight by an american..

i dont know about you but i'm detecting a pattern here..

  • Because Harry Potter and Twilight are so important and definitive. GTFO.

  • bahahaha!!!!! Love it!!!

  • james mcavoy = fitt ;) xxx

  • I love this, i'm from Germany and my english teacher showed us "Shameless" in one of the lessons, now we're all great fans.

  • "Hes killed him" Lmfao!

  • i literally had my hand over my mouth at 9:03 like OMG! haha this show is great :P

  • @itssunnyineden hahaha i did too. im like holy-

  • "and stuff"

    lol

  • See that. . . THAT was more compelling than entire SEASONS of American T.V. shows. I wish this were more widely available in the U.S. And because of the story, not because I'm a perv or anything.

  • @citizenanna All the American Version is....is a copy of this show :p

  • So, they met shooting that aye? No wonder they got married.

  • Tuh tuh, snoggin' in a kitchen the day you meet. Bad wee lad and lass :P
