@14godlike88 Today our government is constantly passing unconstitutional laws and engaging in unconstitutional activities. They will get away with this for as long as the people tolerate it. Jefferson said that the amt of tyranny that you will live under will be the amt of tyranny that you will put up with. It is a said commentary on Americans that they will tolerate tyranny, & many even welcome it and call for it. This is their mind control (propaganda.) 90% of all wars (or more) is propaganda.
Americans, please listen to what this man is saying, say no to ANY 'reasonable' restrictions. Just look at the history of gun CONTROL (what its really about) in the UK. Its a drip-drip technique that has being used over a period of 100 years here to greatly restrict our means of protecting ourselves and become more and more reliant on them. A series of 'reasonable' restrictions until it gets to the point where it is 'reasonable' to ban any/everything. Defend your and others rights
In April of 2009 the DHS officially declared those who are Tea Party advocates, those who are against abortion, those who speak of adhering to the Constitution, those who advocate private firearm ownership, and returning American military veterans as "domestic terrorists."
Where is the ambituity in their propaganda and their intentions?
If ever it appears confiscation will begin, buy large PVC tubes with screw on end caps and hide guns in them. Bury them some place where they can be found by you but are not likely to be discovered. I honestly think with all the awareness now being expressed that it will not come to that. There are so many people who are now watching this I don't think our elected officials would have the balls to pass such legislation. At least we can hope.
There is a group titled, "Oath keepers" They promise to uphold the constitution no matter what any superior authority orders them to do. They are military people, sheriffs, deputies, police, etc. They are constantly approaching more military and guards people to enlist their support of the constitution.
Guns from years ago cannot be traced as there was no record. Old hunting rifles and pistols bought long ago didn't need a background check. Keep them hidden folks.
Not long ago a memo surfaced in Missouri that told police to be careful of anyone who had a "constitution party" sticker on their cars. The president of the party immediately blasted that as ridiculous and demanded a retraction. An honest state trooper read that and knew it was wrong and released it to the press. One way the gov can get help with collecting weapons is for neighbors to report who has them. that will be one tactic that works silently.
@jkmcdani This bill was to test the waters. They won't give up. There will be another one. They have many tactics for taking our guns, including a UN treaty, putting us under an international govt whose laws superceed those of our Constitution. That is their ultimate strategy.
@thenewsurvivalist I agree that this is also a threat we have to guard against. Such a treaty would need to ratified by a 2/3 majority of the senate to become law. This would be tough although we know our government doesn't really care for the constitution these days. I do not think the men and woman of law enforcement, in large percentages, would enforce a law like the UN Treaty. Again I'm not saying as constitutionalists we should be complacent though.
@jkmcdani You are right in that most of our military and police will not turn on the American people. But that is precisely why our govt is making more use of foreign troupes and the UN. They want to give the UN authority over our coastal waters. They are setting a precedent. US veterans are looked upon by our govt as among the highest "terrorist" threats. Clearly the Am people are considered the enemy. Men in caves are the boogie men used as an excuse to deprive Am of their rights.
@thenewsurvivalist If ever this treaty is put forward the people must squeal like wounded hogs. If any president would sign such a treaty without the consent of congress it must be overturned and the president recommended for impeachment. Obama has already shown the ability to circumvent congress so he is perfectly capable of such. So might other presidents who will come after him. The people must be vigilant. The NRA has people who do nothing but monitor these very things, thank goodness.
@BlueCollarSurvival Worse than that. They are trying to equate Constitutionalists with terrorists. The "war on terror" is actually a war on the American people. They are using the bogey men in turbines as a excuse for aggression in the Middle East and to disarm and enslave the American people. The real terrorists are the government.
@thenewsurvivalist I was at a tea party rally here in TX with Ted Nugent. I saw an entire legion of my fellow Texans. And with the rate at which we purchased weapons when Obama was elected, I think people are more awake to the disaramament plan they may or may not have in mind.
*STANDING OVATION!!!* This is about the BEST summation of the situation I've seen anywhere! You laid out the FACTS, INCLUDING where the groundwork for the manipulation of the American public was laid years ago with the Iraq War. THANK YOU! This is not about Repub vs Dem,it's not even about the guns themselves... it's about surviving the worst onslaught against liberty on our own shores in our history. Excellent summation, I salute you for a job VERY well done.
Having guns and weapons all over the place is a double edged sword. But you can still buy tasers and other things. I dont know if everyone should have a gun but definatly alot of people need them especially with bastard gangs today
I agree with u, demonize before attack, before they entered Iraq they demonized saddam hussein (not that he wasnt bad) but they were allies with him before, didnt demonize him than, also they demonized arabs and muslims
@tsafa1 By Unconstitutional war I do not mean that the Iraqis have rights under our Constitution, but that wars must be declared by Congress and NOT the president. Also the Constitution does not give our Govt the authority to wage a war as a preemptive action against an enemy who might someday pose a threat to us. The Constitution and Bill or Rights are very clear that the Govt does not have any rights over and above what the Constitution explicitly spells out for it.
@thenewsurvivalist Congress gave Bush a blank check after the 9-11 attacks. I think he acted very conservatively given the unlimited power he was actually given go go after any foreign threats.
Furthermore, precedence was set by Thomas Jefferson in the Barbary Wars (1801-1805). Congress never declared a formal war against the Barbary States but Jefferson also got a blank check "...and also to cause to be done all such other acts of precaution or hostility as the state of war will justify."
It is often necessary for the Congress to delegate some of its power to the President because they realize that they can not possibly act quickly enough to hostile threats as a body with over 500 people.
@tsafa1 That is dangerous and a political cop out. Wars, even when unconstitutional, usually make the people rally behind the president. There is the real danger that the president will lead us into war for ambition or consolidation of power. Wars should be avoided if at all possible. We should be very careful and deliberate before engaging in war. The separation of powers are to protect the people. Congress has no right to delegate its responsibilities (look at the disastrous Fed. Reserve!)
@thenewsurvivalist I don't agree the Fed is disastrous. I think the Fed has done a very good job of engineering recessions to combat inflation. It is true that they print money to fund the govt, but they also take responsibility and correct that by taking money out of circulation. There is clear pattern of a recession in the 7th or 8th year of the last two presidents. I believe they realized that their untimely correction during Bush Sr. term influenced the election and got Clinton elected.
If the power to regulate currency was not delegated to the an Independent Fed, then you would see Congress manipulating the money supply to get themselves reelected... same way they manipulate budget spending.
The truth is that recession is good for the overall economy. It re-stabilized the currency. As a businessman, I am always raising prices, cause I want to stay ahead of the inflation curve. The only thing I respect is recession. I don't mean talk of recession, I mean I need to see layoffs
The contrast to this is other countries that only print money but don't engineer recessions. They have continuous inflation. Eventually people loose confidence in the money and they get a Depression. Controlled recessions let the hot air out of the bag before it bursts. The Real Estate melt down and Layoffs are just bringing prices back down to where they belong. There are a lot of jobs out there, just not at 2008 prices. Prices have been set back to 2002 by the recession.
The extended unemployment benefits is what is now keeping the economy from taking off. People are still holding out to get 2008 salaries. When the benefits are finally left to expire people will take jobs at 65% or less of their 2008 salary. Productivity goes up, profits go up, economy goes up. At the moment, getting $400 a wk for not working is better then $600 a wk working. Economy can not move forward until unemployment benefits run out.
@tsafa1 Unemployment benefits are .0000001 % of the problem. The real problem is malinvestments which have resulted from the Fed holding interest rates artificially low for years, the deindustrialization of our country due to govt interference with the free market system, and public debt due to runaway Govt spending and corruption.
@tsafa1 And we don't have continuous inflation!!!!! What caused the bubble in real estate prices in the first place (as well as all bubbles) was the already mentioned liquidity continuously poured into the system by the Fed to PREVENT needed recessions. The solution is simple: What we need is the govt to get out of the business of controlling the markets (end the Fed!) and a return to the free market system which we haven't seen since 1913 when the Fed was created.
@thenewsurvivalist We do have continuous inflation. People recognize this every time they say "prices are always going up". They just don't know why. It is because the govt is always printing money to pay its bills. They have been doing that since the American Revolution in the 1770's and have never stopped. There were many Depressions in the 1800's. Most people only know about the last one in 1929. The Feds Management has prevented Depression by engineering mild recession to stabilize dollar.
@thenewsurvivalist Its also LEGAL for doctors to have you locked up for no reason for a perioud of time. And then if they think you are sick even though they are bugging you every moment they keep you in the mental hospital. They wont let you out till your insurance goes to crap or runs out.
@tsafa1 The Fed manipulates the money system for Congress, and even worse for private international banking cartels as well. You contradict yourself when you say you approve of the Fed and of recessions. It is the Fed policies of flooding the market with liquidity (money) every time a recession is threatened, to avert the needed recessions because they are not politically expedient for the men in power, that has simply kicked the needed recessions down the road until we are were we are today.
@tsafa1 The Constitution states that the rights of the people are unalienable, which means that they are not granted by govt, but are innate, or God given. This implies that all humans have certain rights, such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, regardless of their race or nationality, and in spite of their govt.
I don't think the Dems have the votes to get this passed. Maybe in the house, but there are too many Republicans and "Blue Dog" Dems in the Senate to get this passed, and I'm sure that the NRA is buttering the Blue Dogs' palms pretty well right now, too.
@thenewsurvivalist I went and looked up that article, (didn't buy the magazine) it mostly talked about that group of dimwits from the "Hutaree." What I did notice was the little graph on the side, made up out of bullets comparing; militias with the religious nuts from the waco siege. And also states that the current resurgence of militias is becouse of Obama's skin colour
You americans are so lucky to be a constitution that allow you to be armed.......
Here in Italy like the rest of the europe...is more difficult to obtain a firearm for the price, the burocracy and limitation laws.
