  • stay where you are. THe reality of war is serious injury. This could very well throw your life away. ALso you will be used for otheers to make profit from your suffering. Don't let people use you. YOu shold not agree to fight from sombody else. Only ever fight for yourself if absolutely necessary but never choose to fight for no reason. It will bring you nothing but trouble and bad luck. forget the career and just think of the physical suffering you could face with nobody to help you

  • @PrankzCCFC same mate I'm going there to be a comms system op next month, I'm 16 just now. Think you gotta be 16 and a mont. old before you go to training, but you can start the recruitment process at your local office when your 15 and 7 months. All the best mate hope your still going!

  • @ jackaroony1998 so am I. My mate wants to too we're thinking of joining together.

  • Jackaroony1998 so am I. My mate wants to as well. I'm thinking of honing with him if we do.

  • Yeah a got more mature wen in bootneck training learned how to drink my own swamp

  • dismounted sniper in Royal Scots Dragoon Guards , Royal Armoured Corps what I'm looking to do

  • I'm 18 and considering joining.

  • BLOGSPOT : civilian to solder read my story so far

  • some people think that joining will better them. Its not a nice or good time for anybody. Some people do not understand what this really means. The army wasn't designed to be a nice place or experience.

  • does anybody know if you can learn a trade/do an apprenticeship at 16 years old in winchester? because i want to be and electronic warfare operator in the royal signal and im trying to find out what i need to do

  • do you have to know how swim to be in the army?

  • @anthonybonkerzcawley they do swimming tests in the 14 week training, infairness though swimming is piss simple.

  • @anthonybonkerzcawley probably

  • im 14, as soon as im old enough, im signing up :)

  • @MASTERJORD good for you :) good luck!

  • @MASTERJORD me to mate im same age.

  • @black39gold yes I believe so odd perhaps he's a recruiter for the SAS

  • wow they make basic training look so easy! Looks more like summer camp.

  • @SpidermansSymbiote it's nothing like summer camp

  • @SpidermansSymbiote that how they lure you in

  • Why do so many people take it if you join the Army your gonna get killed on some forgotten battlefield in the middle of no-where, such a narrow view, you accept death as a fact when you join a organization with such a high risk job.

  • 09:46 has that guy got an SAS cap badge on ?!

  • @black39gold Kings Royal Hussars

  • was that guy actually fucking bleeding ?!

  • winchester next year :)) (RAVC)

  • @ian699 cut off age is 33 better hurry up pal ! :)

  • which base do you go to for AAC training?

  • @black39gold pirbright i think

  • yeah good point, but ive had a set back in the last few months, ive had an operation on my foot, the bone had a lump which needed cutting down, that was on the 31 of jan, im currently in a air cast, but i should be walking by may. i will still be able to run and do everything as normal though, so would this hinder my chances of joining?

  • @keightley2011 Most likely not. There was a guy who got stopped from joining permenantly because he had some metal rods in his leg. And his bones healed over them. Unless it effects you badly. Like a crippling injury you should be fine :) shouldnt be a problem. Get in to your Recruitment office and ask there. When you send your medical off they will tell you yay or nay. :)

  • i think i could run it much faster now though as i do alot more cardio training, i didn't really do much work on cardio in school it was mostly weights, but since then ive enjoyed and doing cardio so yeah i think i can run quicker now

  • im not sure but in six form we did running in P.E and we actually did a 1.5mile run and i did it in 11min, also im not sure which job i want, im still trying to decide, but i really want a job that requires some sort of search and rescue. any ideas?

  • im 18, i really want to join but i don't have the bottle to yet, im not fit enough, im fit but nowhere near as fit as i should be 2 join, i think im gunna get my fitness up then go there and try and join

  • @keightley2011 whats your 1.5 mile time and what job role would you go for

  • @keightley2011 Mate get your application in NOW if your wanting to get in. If you have the bollocks to walk through the door and apply youre ready for the Army. When i went to selection all of us got under 11 and a half minutes on the run. I got 10:16 and i got an A grade along with 3 other people. The rest got B grades and only 1 got a C. You will dominate it. But if your wanting to join get your app in NOW because the waiting list is only going to get longer the longer you leave it!

  • Alright guys How long leave do you get in this process? and When you have passed out what happens next ?

  • join royal marines !

  • Just passed selection up at Edinburgh, looking forward to basic.

  • ok, i want to join the army, but i have a severe phobia of water; to what extent is water featured in basic training?

  • @15niall Take swimming lesson's at a local swimming pool. That way you can learn to swim in an controlled environment. As you get better, your confidence will increase and it should rid you of your phobia.

  • @pumamick sorry, i think i should have made myself clearer. I can swim, very well, the problem is my phobia of going underwater, as water always floods up my nose, and i dont know how to stop it. thanks anyway

  • @15niall Don't worry about the Phobia just declare it. Psychology is a vital study in the Army and they can prevent and/or treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder so irrational anxiety conditions like Phobias will be familiar to them. If you want to join just do it, don't think you have to loose the phobia first. And a Phobia as you would know is not about exposure, fear or a silly mind, it has to be treated as an Anxiety condition not as a `weakness`.

  • @EbsNhexz Hey, thanks for the advice! I didnt know that. So they can help me get over my fear? Cos I really cant do it myself :) Thanks for the help

  • @15niall Yes they can help you, and I would look at the NHS website in the meantime for your options. Don't be afraid of going to the Doctors with something like this, it may seem petty to you but if it affects your life then it is justification for seeking help. Don't be self judgemental but don't place any importance on the possibility of water being involved in what you want to do.

  • Its good to see though the recruiters are being more realistic now when they speak to young people and i have seen them give some serious worried looks i9n the recruiting centre as if to say i really would not get into this. They no the reality of what is going to happen to many of these new recruits. you wouldn't think it but some recruiters actually like to discourage some people from joining as they are against this war and only doing there job sat in that salesroom

  • Can american join the British army?

  • @IceNine187 i beleive you need to be a british citizen first

  • I find it suprising that the army gets new recruits with the unpopularity of the afghanistan war. I can never understand how sombody would put themselves at risk just from living in the uk as a normal person then become involved with a war that is nothing to do with them. I think its wrong we even send people into harms way. obviously there will be some recruits who have not considered the consequences of joining up. Stop sending people into fights

  • @1982FMJ Believe me, they remind you when you get there that you will be paid to do a very dangerous job. It's a personal choice that not everybody will understand.

  • i agree but some people will neevr understand the seriousness of it. One thing you don't here talked about much is british troops getting taken hostage in afghanistan by terrorists. I imagine the british pow's in afghanistan is very tightly covered up. taliban most likely do take soldiers hostage in afghanistan. yet we never here about it on the news.

  • @1982FMJ True that no matter what, there will always be the stupid recruit that thinks "lol, fun times". But it's definitly a minority. I also don't think there are very many British Troops ever captured. Patrols are given enough ammunition and food to last them at least 24 hours. The chances of troops giving up/being outnumbered/outgunned are very small. Bitish news crews are abducted every other day though, because they'll wander off looking for that "exclusive interview".

  • joing the army in 4 years cant wait :)

  • I'm in THE UNIT -- It's harder than this.

  • Whats CBRN

  • there is nothing quite as rewarding as a ten mile march and shoot during the night especially if it is raining

  • I want to join the British Army, bbut this video makes them seem so Soft???

  • @RAZmainianDareDevil haha bolocks, of course there going to make it look soft, since they want people to join, if they showed you everything they did, theyd scare some people off, so they want to make it look good, and ive been throough myself pal, and let me tell you, its not soft! :)

  • wtf you lt on about, iv been in the army for 5 years - it aint all that, its a job - griz out basic and phase 2 and then your squared - but your not some rambo idiot - this aint america!

  • nodealitallx4nodealitallx4nodealitallx4nodealitallx4

  • oh hell no! talking when eating at the dining facility? theyre taking their precious time in there. while we in the us are not aloud to talk and are supposed get out of that dining facility as soon as we get in cause they make us do everything with a sense of urgency.

  • omg you'll never hear a us army trainee saying that: "I'm enjoying it. A lot." That is some bullshit. a soldier is supposed to be a baddass motherfucker in the battlefield. why do i see the prestigious british military playing fucking playstation and shit and doing all this recreational stuff on their training.

  • RAMC lass at 2:15?

  • all i ever wanted to do for my whole life was join the military preferably the army but cant because i have asthma.luckily the police force allows asthmatics to join.

  • hay just wanting to join the army but just wondering how to join the paras because went to my local recruitment centre and the guy say the centre recruits for the scottish regiment i live in scotland btw

  • im so sick of every one telling me im gunna die if i join. iv wanted to join since i was a kid and im aged 25 and have my own little famliy now, but i still want the army so much..

  • @djtwig999 go for it!! :)

  • @djtwig999 I get that everyday! Got my appointment on the 7th of jan, I plan on joining ragardless of what people say. If you want to do it, Do it.

  • @djtwig999 too right mate

  • @djtwig999 Do it while you are still young, otherwise you'll look back and regret not joining

  • @pumamick -Yes indeed. I joined the USMC and spend 4 years in. Would have regreted it my entire life had I not done so.

  • @edwardpf123 why only 4years?

you went through all that training to spend for years in??

  • @GreatBritishSkinhead -Four was enough!

  • @edwardpf123 did you go on tour?

  • @GreatBritishSkinhead -Yes. I spent two years on Sea Duty on the USS Albany. After that, I then did a 6 month Med tour.

  • @djtwig999 go for it mate its your dream not the others, dont let the fears of others block the courage to success, i have my own little family and i joined the army , ma girl gives me support and shes proud of me lk me dad aswell , go for it best thing ever ..

  • @djtwig999 go for it!

  • @djtwig999 I get that all the time, but there civvies, they no absolutely nothing they just read and believe this propaganda bollox, 300 soldiers out of 3-,000 have died, im joining the infantry and im thinking more about death all the time because people keep reminding me, but you could also die crossing the road on a busy street... i know where i would rather die.

Just do it mate, you will regret it later on, trust me.

  • @djtwig999 Do it man. Fulfill your dreams. Your family will support you and you can be sure it will be worth your while!

  • @djtwig999 join then

  • @djtwig999 I've got a similar problem, i want to join the army but my mum is scared i will die, but at the end of the day its my life, and i will do with it as i please, i will enlist with or without my parents approval.

  • @djtwig999 Same, but I'm actually going to join. Because I don't listen to what other people think. + What they say doesn't effect how I live my life. Unfortunately, not the British army, but.

  • @djtwig999 UP THE RA U BRITISH FUCK :)

  • @TheFlapAttack The RA are a defeated army, always have been, always will be.

    No Surrender!

  • @djtwig999 man im gettin pissed of to,im 18 and unemployed .all my mates are saying ahh dont join ull just get sent to afghanistan and get shot .just going on what they see on the news .

  • @djtwig999 join do you country proud man !

  • @djtwig999 Don't leave it too late, join as soon as you can.

  • @djtwig999 Follow you heart fella, regret is a heavy burden to carry. 23 and in the process of joining the RE

  • i dunno if i should do armourd corps or paras

  • how old do you have to be to start training, and how long would it take to go to afghanistan?

  • @Ruthles4Life 15 and 9 months with parents consent, 18 to be deployed, and it could be any number of time depending on your cap badge but within 6 months maybe

  • im 17 just left school, in a way i want to do this and in other ways im nervous about it, does any1 else feel like this, (sorry 4 sounding like a pussy)

  • @fifamagic im joining when i finish college next year im nervous as shit already

  • @fifamagic you pussy

  • i am going to the army when im 17

  • But i think if you live in a eu membered country suppose you can join bdw greeting from malta

  • @TheEnglishBadman

i think it was a while ago, but either that or i might have replied to the wrong person!

  • @TheEnglishBadman

note her capbadge, she is not a marine commando lol. shes in HR and Finance. A desk jockey. essential to the life of every soldier, but in my opinion, its not really 'the army' as expected.

  • I want to join the British army, but can I, if I am not a GB citizen?

  • i want to join but i'm only 16, turning 17 soon and i hope my parents give me consent, if not i'll just wait until i'm 18.

  • @yousukcheese id start training now if i was you, so you have a headstart and you dont struggle as much as others

  • @Nogrounds i'm gonna try to join when i turn 17 (if my parents let me) but if not, i'll just have to wait.

  • @yousukcheese if your parents let you?, if my parents tryed to stop me id do it anyway...

  • @XHourX yeah but you need your parents consent or signature if you want to join at the age of 17

  • the only thing i`m worried about is that i`m irsh do u thing ppl would have a problem with people??

  • Wow britts get it soooo easy...if you want to see real military training look at the US Marine Corps training, not this luxury resort that you all call army training.... ha what a joke

  • @MrGixxerjay First, unwedge that american flag rammed up your ass, infact you'd probably have an easier time pulling it out through your mouth. That'd make quite the magic trick.

Second, what the f*ck do you know about military training, have you ever even been in the army? If you have, you're already an embarassment to your country by making such comments about an allied nations forces.

  • @MrGixxerjay you want to look up 32 weeks of british Royal Marine commando training or 28 weeks of british para's training, then 4 weeks of jumps training, makes your marines look like women

  • @MrGixxerjay US Marine Corps are a joke do not compare your trigger happy disgrace of marines to the British Army you my friend do not have a clue and by the way it is arse an ass is a donkey

  • OMG a "swimming poo"!!! :D................D:

  • Army shooting range is 1 minute walk from my house in Colchester garrison town FTW

  • aye when i was up in catterck theres yorkie bars.. that say not for civvies funny

  • Signing up in september hopefully ...Cant wait

  • hopefully august for me

  • @Harling09 i dropped into my army carreers office this morning i just need to make sure that im sure of what job im choosing then im getting signed up for my BARB test nd that

  • a did the barb test last thursday and passed them, just waiting on me medical forms to get sent from the doctors, be a few week til a hear anything.

  • why is that girl with a green green berret

  • can you fail the phase 1 traning? if so what parts are "failable" i mean fail as in sent home

  • no. you dont get sent home, and no you cant fail. if you suck at your drill, the sgt wont let you pass out, but you will still have your berry and not get back squadded. same for all fitness tests. but eventually will come final PT tests. but you will be fit before that

  • going in the army in 3 Weeks

  • @RUNGUNSNIPER nice one mate good luck and have fun.

  • People, it ain't that American Basic is harder. We are a bigger country with more people. We have to weed out the weak first, so it has to be tougher in some points, one of those is yelling at the weak and getting them out. Our Brittish brethern have a great basic training, because they have civilians that really want to be there and progress.

  • us training is 11 weeks or so isnt it? im not sure

regular brittish training is 24, thats six months. theres a big difference.

  • its certainly a quick way to put urself in surgery

  • i want to join the rifles regiment but i got a heart murmur....

    does that matter??

  • @D0G3NH4M

It might do.. depends on how serious it is and the medical officer that examines you.

  • Best thing to do mate is to go to the armed forces careers office near you, you can find it on the army site..not too sure personally, hope it doesn't though

    Best of luck!

  • go on sam do britain proud!

  • done alot of training with different regiments in places like pirbright and catterick while at college (studying public n uniformed servs) i miss it more then anything, im going for the army after christmas ive waited too long now!

  • I just got my citizenship and I want to join up. I'm sure I'll get shit as being an American.

  • put on an English accent :p

  • u sure will yank:)

  • nah man you're are cousins;) when you joining?

  • im scottish and i think america is great

  • good for you, who gives a fuck?

  • i do.

  • umm and ?

  • just saying in respone to all the america hating thats going on.

  • @TheRanzog i will be honest yes you will get shit from me lmfao

  • i know a few american officers that have come to sandhurst to be trained as a oficer.

  • @TheRanzog You'll get a lot of practicl jokes thrown your way but you'll recieve much better training in the British army buddy.

  • @TheRanzog Trust mate, After a while they will get used to you! :)

  • @TheRanzog its all for moral mate

  • @TheRanzog Learn to speak like an englishman then. simple.

  • @TheRanzog Did you join? How did it go?

  • @TheRanzog dont worry about it mate...as long as you dont praise up the american forces you shud be fine....got yrs before you can join yet though...wish you look though

  • @TheRanzog hahah nooo pal, i served for 2 weeks with a squad of yanks in afghan, they respect you, and we respect each other, you will get shit but they wont mean it, but you will get a hell of a lot of insults, but just give as good as you get :)

  • @TheRanzog american or not, you will get shit lol its just banter between the lads, if they take the piss - take the piss back lol

  • @toxic2k7 im canadian and ive applied for the royal marines its going to be a complete culture shock and i hope i can fit in.

  • @theguess7 dont worry am hopefully joining the Royal Marines aswell but am scottish ive been to the trainging center with the cadets it will be tough but rewarding and you will fit in at the end of the day doesnt matter were you are from but if you have what it takes to be a Royal Marine Commando.

  • @theguess7 when are you going? because i want to apply soon as too. im half canadian :)born in england though, mums british, dads canadian. btw there will be alot of different people in there. it wont be a room full of englishmen and you standing out lol ranging from polish to african.

  • @toxic2k7 I had my Royal Marines Commando selection last tuesday. It is a completely different fucking world. I failed, but I'm not giving it up...just gonna hold it back for few years and try again when I'm 19/20 odd, good luck though mate, hardest thing I've ever had to do, and if your wondering...I failed on just overall fitness!

  • @TheRanzog I wouldn't worry about getting shit. You might get the piss taken a little bit but all in good humour. The British and US Armies are both allies. If anything you'll get support for joining our Army instead of the US.

  • Did I see a double bed during the view of the accommodation?

  • lol i highly doubt it mate haha would be good though !

  • all looks nicey nicey, until they get you through the gates!!!

  • Can u be an ATO in the Paras?

  • Im gonna be a, Officer for the Royal Artillery.

    2nd Leitennant.

  • @oreillyshayne ARSE hahahahahahahahah you mean ass... Have fun at your resort

  • @MrGixxerjay Thirdly, this is part of a recruitment DVD, it shows potential recruits that there is a lot more to the army than being shouted at and exhausting yourself on training 24 hours a day, it's trying to make the army life appear more attractive to the 'average' citizen.

Finally, get a f*cking clue about what you're talking about before you open your fat mouth, fool.

  • @oreillyshayne your in infantry

  • I can tell you this now, this only shows half the story

  • Lol... i hate army videos like this. They always leave the bollockings/shouting and the general nasty shit the corporals/sargeants say sometimes....
