Thanks for your opinion. I think Shane swears too much too sometimes. So I just don't watch him when i'm not in the mood for that potential. Parents should be checking on what their kids are watching though. We shouldn't have to police the net for swearing because parents aren't doing their jobs.

I agree, I enjoy some of Shane's videos but I believe there's a point to where he should censor himself. A lot of middle schoolers get bad impressions, I'm not just saying its Shane's fault either. I know that kids are influenced by other forms of entertainment as well. Maybe if he wouldn't curse as much, kids wouldn't feel the need to do it to be cool. I was in middle school couple years ago and despite what people say curse words are hurting our kids.

Not everything needs educational value. Thats why people go to school, and guess what?! Theres much more profanity in school classrooms and hallways than in Shane Dawson videos. Censorship is pointless, you are going to heard the word "fuck" 100,000 more times after this, you might as well accept it. Yes, Shane Dawson is a role model, and a damn good one. Swearing is a non issue to all topics, and I cant believe people think its such a big deal.

I'm a teenager and i'm one of Shane's biggest fans. I've watched him from the start and I'll watch him to the end. If you haven't seen him like all us fans see him dont say anything about him, he entertains so many people and because of what he's been through he deserves it, the one thing he doesnt deserve it haters like you, so please keep your comments to yourself, if you don't like him dont make a video about it, he wouldnt do it too you.

I am a teenage girl and I don't think he is sexist at all, Shane Dawson in my opinion had a lot of respect for women, he has never said anything against women seriously, only sometimes if he is in character. and that's just it, it's his characters saying those things not him. to ask him to stop swearing and stop 'being sexist' is asking him to change the way he plays his characters. With he amount of violence and profanity kids watch these days, he is pretty tame in comparison. plus its humour.

People should make videos about whatever they want. if people like, hate, subscribe or flag it, that's completely up to them and another matter entirely. There will always be people who are going to be offended. That's just life.
Always do want you want in your videos, there yours and noone elses, you shouldnt be told what to do. Its called "YOU"tube for a reason, emphasis on the "You" part. Just as Shane can swear in his videos you can criticize in yours, thats what makes "Youtube" =)

I Agree with you. The violence and profanity does bother me but I still watch because I think he is funny. I don't think he needs to be doing all of that and even though he says a lot of positive stuff the negative stuff is really not a good example for his younger viewers.

I agree, I enjoy some of Shane's videos but I believe there's a point to where he should censor himself. A lot of middle schoolers get bad impressions, I'm not just saying its Shane's fault either. I know that kids are influenced by other forms of entertainment as well. Maybe if he wouldn't curse as much, kids wouldn't feel the need to do it to be cool. I was in middle school couple years ago and despite what people say curse words are hurting our kids.

I don't see the problem, personally. People like his videos, and if people don't want bad language, they shouldn't even be on youtube - MANY videos involve sexual comments or swearing. Also, it's not his fault if he's 'badly influencing our youth'. It's the viewers fault if they're watching it and they aren't mature enough, and if they're so young to be finding it so inappropriate, shouldn't they have supervision?

@ershadsocal I personally just think people who talk about 'disgusting stuff' as you say, with sexual innuendos and such, aren't a problem. Some people like the kind of humor, some don't mind whether people use it or not, and people who find it offensive or don't like it don't have to watch it. I still think he'd be funny without it, but I don't see why he shouldn't use such language, personally.
