Get Permission to Access/Delete Files and Folders on Windows Vista

I am trying to delete real player downloads but it says you need to confirm this operation. I click on continue and it says you need permission to perform this action. Next try again. I seem to have full control but this keeps happening. I am using Vista Ultimate and Dell Inspiron 1525. I might add that I am not an advanced computer buff, I am 63yrs. I never had lessons but I did as you said with the properties.

OMFG!! It really WORKED when i tried your method but when i reached to the main files I still couldn't delete the files :(

What I did was... I went to the cmd and did this ( rd /s filename ) and i was able to delete the folder and all the files..

HOREYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!

I need you help I get this error windows cannot access the specified device path,or file you may not have appropriate permissions to access the items. I have vista.Im not trying to delete it im just trying to use it.. Can you help?

@83joshcash You should be able to use the same method shown in this video to get permission to access the folder or file. Just don't delete it once you give yourself permissions.
