@TomoFujitaMusic Mr. Tomo, is it possible to dig your tone using a twin reverb or deluxe reverb amp? what is really the difference between those two and your pro reverb in this video?
@threefingers333: is there a "more cowbell" joke hiding in there? :)
Man, I just love the way he changes the syncopation and still keeps perfect time. Woah, this is the first video I've heard him talk. Softly spoken & playing sharp!
PSM-5, Boss DD and a Klon Centaur. Nice and compact pedalboard. Many guitar teachers can learn a lot from this guy.
The video isn't exactly synced up, but watch his left hand. It's a combo of him picking dead strings and his left hand slapping the dead strings. It's a slap bass technique.
lol no i was just kidding about the mexican thingy but yeah i'm really not sure if its american or japanese i'm guessing american because strats made in america are often better.
I saw him at the Premiere Guitar Festival yesterday and today! He's really nice, i met him and shook his hand, told him that i wanted to go to berklee when im in college....i want him as my prof.!!!!!
beginners funk.. funk is concept and when you really get into you it you get past the physicalities of it.. and start to conceptualize.. but this man is sick.
You grow up and study your history. I've heard dudes stay on one chord and sound better than this. Not saying it's not good.. but I'm tired of ppl who think Funk is all about minor ninths and dominants. Funk is a CONCEPT that produced a sound. Not a sound.
I never said he did. Im saying funk is about what chords you use. Ppl automatically think that he you strum real fasy and play 9th's and dominants... you're playing funk. It's NOT a SOUND. It's a CONCEPT. It's that simple. And I dont have camera and even if I did I wouldnt make videos. Showing off doesn't make me feel better about my playing.
It said how if you aren't praising somebody for their works you're automatically looked down upon. It'd be another thing if I said he sucked! The world is bigger than your view on things. I pointed something out and all of a sudden Im some time of villian. GROW UP!
If you say it is all conceptual, what is the exact concept you are talking about? Funk is absolutely a sound. All the 70s funk musicians sound similar because funk sounds a certain way. Just like blues sounds similar. One thing is for sure, Tomo Fujita is one of the best guitarists rythym wise that I have ever heard.
2:17 is incredible ...
