i have this notebook and i have a problem...when im playing the game runs ok...then lags and gets very slow for 10 seconds, after that everything come back to normal..but after few moments the lags comeback...i check the gpu temp and playing its about 100 celsius degree, what should i do? theres any program that could help me? maybe undervolt gpu?

It's covered but the cover allows some air in, you ca notice it if you ever run your graphics card hard enough and put your hand under the comp, it's used as an air intake
well that was really stupid its there for pressure reasons it has nothing to do with cooling the heat sync is for cooling this now mean ur graphics will be running to cold and the pressure will not but what it should be asus are a big ass company so u think there gunna make a mistake like that ? dont think so i would put that sheet back on

Its not that heavy about average I'd say. It does put out alot of heat from the vent on the side and the bttoms gets warm. The only problem i have had is the display driver needs updated and I pretty sure nvidia finally has them availble on there site, cuz when the pc is sleeping or your close the lid then go to open it the display doenst do anything and i have to reboot the pc. But its a great laptop and fast.

that is true, but they do have great console games that aren't always on pc and sometimes take awhile for those games to make it to pc from console. That's y I've saved up my money so I was able to buy 360 then PS3 then build a gaming pc so i can play any exclusive game on any platform except WII which i had but sold it cuz the graphics sux. Its up to you, you always could build a decent gaming pc which would be better then a laptop.
You welcome man, the gateway laptop or toshiba has even more power and better displays that they have at bestbuy. the gateway has better hardware and graphics for the same price and i would have got it but its to big for me when i travel and cuz the deal i got on the asus i couldnt pass it up.
maybe you have something before the fan so your gpu couldn't be cooled

i noticed that the temp gets to high (110 celsius degrees)
i opened the notebook and cleaned the fan from cooler
now its around 96 celsius degrees playing
so i dont get slowdown anymore

I took a flash light to and couldnt see and light coming through for air flow so i just removed the blakc platic and now its a real air vent.

That's y I've saved up my money so I was able to buy 360 then PS3 then build a gaming pc so i can play any exclusive game on any platform except WII which i had but sold it cuz the graphics sux. Its up to you, you always could build a decent gaming pc which would be better then a laptop.

You welcome man, the gateway laptop or toshiba has even more power and better displays that they have at bestbuy. the gateway has better hardware and graphics for the same price and i would have got it but its to big for me when i travel and cuz the deal i got on the asus i couldnt pass it up.
