  • Thank for teach us to make ponchos starting by measuring the head, it makes sence. when you mentioned treble I knew what you ment, I learned that in a book whre it was showing the hooks numbers letters and mm that are us in different countries. I am excited, to have seen your video. I will make five ponchos for my daughters, grandaghters and one for me, that just to start. for the people that sis not know what treble was, now they do. Thank so very much for your tutorial...

  • This comment is regarding your solid poncho,i could not understand what does three triples mean does it mean we need to do triple croch

  • @r00p123 i am sorry i meant to say DOUBLE CROCHET if you are using the US terminology. the hole poncho is worked in a US DC

  • Hi, remember I said I would let you know re: big siz ponchos? Well on eHOW by linsuz12 I found a pattern.

    Chain 44 for small

    Chain 60 for medium

    Chain 76 for large

    Sounds good no???

  • @montrealstars60 is that american instructions ? im not sure on the amout of chains for the american yarns ... but i would say that if the large size amount of chains is probaly about 2 times the measurement of your head then it will be ok ... just make a neck tie so that if its a little to big aroud the neck you can tighten it :O)

  • @bobwilson123

Yes I will remember your advice! I'll get around to doing it sooner or later. Thanks again for your help.

  • @montrealstars60 no problem ! Good Luck , happy crochet :O)

  • What if I'm a big-sized woman, do I still just have to keep in mind only the chains that fit my head or do I have to add a few chains?

  • @montrealstars60 that is a really good question !! and i am not sure on the answer.... i would think that you will have to make the initial chain longer and having a tie around the neck when you have finished so that you can gather it in ... having a longer chain should make the poncho in a larger size ... i have asked on mikeyssmail face book fan page to see if anyone else has different ideas

  • @bobwilson123

Thanks so much for caring and asking Mike. I will wait for the aswer. and then work on it.

  • @montrealstars60 hi there i put up a post and no one replyed .... maybe that had no clue either ? But i would try the original idea ad she how you go .. just keep trying on the poncho as you go

Please let me know how you go or if i can try to help you

    Good luck xx

  • @bobwilson123

I have other stuff to do before the poncho, but I will let you know! Thanks so much for your help and concern! Hugs

  • @montrealstars60 no problem ..pleasure to help ..good luck and happy crochet !

  • instead of doing triples, can u do dc?

  • hi !

I have used DC (US terms) but i am sure that you could use another stitch if you liked .... i think the only difference in using a SC (US terms) is that it will take longer to make ...let me know how you go :)
