@kissmyroyalirish Honestly, to get to this level it would take about 6 monthes if you practiced EVERYDAY for at least 1 hour. As with most things in life consistency is everything with the banjo. There are ups and downs, but if you can push through and be dedicated, it is not hard to get good on the banjo. But for the casual player playing a couple times a week. It would take years
@kissmyroyalirish i definitely suggest getting an instructor to get you going on fundamentals, and technique. i had been playing for about 7 years at that point. borrowed a lot of that variation from Alan Munde. he was my teacher for about two years. amazing player, and an even more amazing person. check out his playing, and check out camp bluegrass, and other types of banjo instruction classes. cheers.
@perdue94 i play uke, have played mandolin, and never played banjo. Ukulele is really really fun, you can learn some fun songs, but i mean theres only so much you can do, you know? I don't know. but mando is fun, its really a bluegrass instrument like banjo. Honestly, I really wanna play banjo haha!
You see, this is just what you think of when you think of foreigners. People who can't speak english for dick constantly trying to insult America because they've got nothing better to do.
lawl, coming from england, this is what i thought of you when i was young, its all different now, but our parents in general tend to think that way of americans and it rubs off on us...
I like this guy's very modist approach. Picks up his banjo, plays a heck of a great tune, puts it down, turns off the camera, never see his face. That's a talented AND confident artist.
Sweet sounding little tune ya got rolling there...I saw the Arkamo Rangers perform at the Mountain Music Shoppe around a year ago. Can't wait to see ya there again sometime!?!? Ya fellas got some special talent and charisma to boot...keep it real and on a truckin.
