I don't know whether Okinawans don't like Japan. However, it is certain that Okinawans are Japanese people because Okinawan language is one of the Japanese dialects. There are a lot of ancient Japanese words in Okinawan language. As you know, Shinto(神道) is a Japanese religion; there has been Shinto shrines in Okinawa before it became a part of Japan.
