I had 2 gerbils, 1 of them lived 2 years and the other one 3 years.

I miss them all the time and I'm thinking of getting new ones :)

@tealyboy yep, you buy two of them. that´s the easiest way.

and a big cage, at least 80x40x40 cm- but bigger is better. 100x40x40 would be perfect. :D

I was thinking about getting two gerbils. Do you have to have sand? Does the sand keep the gerbils fur fluffy and clean?? Great vid =)

Yes you have to have sand. They bathe in it like we bathe in water, it keeps them clean and gives them a super nice fur, if they don't have sandbathes they will get fur who sticks together and looks greasy.
