  • For squats, I put this strap-on pillow cushion around the center of the barbell, then rest my shoulders below that. I never feel any shoulder pain - none, unless you're suggesting it's better to squat with no shoulder support on the barbell.

  • I used to think that ATG squats is the best exercise for my quads... but recently I found out they're nothing compared to barbell step-ups..!!

  • For that question you got about wrists hurt when doing dips: use a thicker padding on the dip bars, like wrap a towel around each bar and that will take alot of pressure off of your wrists.

  • What I do is 2 sets of squats with 20 lb dumbbells and my last set I do jumping squats with 15 lb dumbbells and I go to failure...been doing this for a month and my legs feel stronger and my vertical leap is a inch better

  • Dips are good if you're really lean and have some weight to gain. Wouldn't do them if you're 200+ lbs.

  • Even dips with just body weight is just dangerous. I'm 22..done doing them. There's too much muscle on my body..can't be safe for my joints to do.

  • @Dexduzdiz Just keep lifting and eat decent and you should keep your muscle. The only time you might lose some is when your test dips as you get older.
