  • Great job !

  • I don't understand why Picard and Riker are wearing 2 different styles of uniform while standing right next to each other..

  • @ModestNeophyte It was explained by the idea that the new uniforms were being phased into service little by little. Not all officers were in the new uniform yet. If you watch the movie, you'll also see that some go back and forth. This was explained because of "laundry." The new uniform was dirty and they still had their old uniform, so they used it. It doesn't make sense from the real world perspective, but it does from the perspective of the Star Trek world.

  • @baalthegreat No, it makes good sense from the real-world perspective. The U.S. Navy alone phased in two different sets of working uniforms in the past 13 years, going from the classic bellbottom dungarees and chambray shirts to straight leg pants to the current blue/gray digital Navy Working Uniform (NWU), and during that time, multiple uniforms appeared simultaneously.

  • The Sovereign class starship was probably well on its way to completion at Utopia Planitia at the time the Enterprise-D was destroyed at Veridian III. There's no way Starfleet ASDB could've put that thing together so fast in a years time.

  • @TurboCathedral: That's actually what happened. The Enterprise-E was originally called the USS Honorius when it was under construction. They re-christened it as the Enterprise-E after the destruction of the D.

  • @FormicHiveQueen ...a la USS Yorktown/ Enterprise-A!

  • Brilliant! You definitely beat Paramount by miles!

  • Unbelieveably good Video... I'd say lets take this as Canon :)

  • Excelente...

  • Picard is the BEST Starfleet captain! Kirk knows when to pass the torch.

  • I'll tell you how it should have ended...Kirk should have smacked the crap out of Picard and reclaimed the franchise. One of those old school karate chops right to the throat. Send his ass back to Masterpiece Theatre on pbs.

  • Video should just end with the Enterprise-E going to warp, and it would be perfect. ;)

  • Paramount unfortunately would've rejected your awesome idea because it's "too

likeable and creative" and "would've given filmgoers and Star Trek fans what they wanted".

  • @hossola77 LOL

  • actually the USS Enterprise E isn't new. It was already in service when the Enterprise D crashed.

Originally it was called the USS Horus, but renamed after it's captain refused to defend a Cardassian ship from Klingon ships in the Kalandra sector during the Klingon/Cardassian war.

  • very nice editing

  • Yes the Enterprise E and her sister ships look more warlike then the older starfleet vessels. But remaber your Star Trek Timeline when these ships were built, The Domionion (sorry about the spelling) War had was either near enough or had started, so i guess Starfleet felt it need warships, maybe if we ever get a new Star Trek Show that is not connected to the revamp movies, we will see if Starfleet went back to the old ship styles

  • @1976346 The Dominion War had nothing to do with the design of the Sovereign class. The Sovereign class was just one of the many anti-Borg starship designs kicked around following Wolf 359 that Starfleet decided to begin constructing.

  • cut it right when the camera pans over the top of the E's hull right after the dry dock shot and this would have been a much better ending than the actual movie. i felt there were too many shots of the E flying around that it took away the majesty of it

  • The Sovereign Class Starship is my Favorite Starship in the Star Trek TNG Timeline

  • The E model is a hideous abomination. Looks like an A that got its d!ck stuck in a taffy machine and over-stretched. Now the D, Galaxy class, was exactly that....classy.

  • Very nice touch with Bill Shatner's voice over from ST VI; great job!

  • I was so happy when they destroyed that butt-ugly D Enterprise with it's Mike Douglas Show bridge. The ONLY thing worse than the D was the "Barbie's Starship" clunky craptastic scow Abrams foisted upon us with the Apple Store interior.

The E was a major improvement & they should've looked more to that for the re-design in the last film!

  • @Ontir

    lol craptastic

I for one would like to see a good ol' fashioned rec room brawl between the E crew and the Abrams crew, with the E crew cleaning house. "The Apple Store Enterprise shouldn't be hauling garbage. It should be hauled away - AS garbage!"

  • @Ontir Go fuck yourself. The Galaxy class was a beautiful ship. The Sovereign is a dumbed down race car design for all the retarded kids.

  • @billyboyjennings What a shit-heel.

  • Like it very much bravo!

  • I yet to this day fail to understand why the Enterprise-D had to be destroyed. I know many fans of the Enterprise-E might disagree, but I think it was the beginning of the end for the movie franchise. The D model will always be my favorite NCC-1701. Long live the Galaxy-class!

  • @JimHadar1

Destroying ships and killing off characters is SOP for Berman and Braga, doncha know?

  • That is a much better ending to Generations, It's like Kirk handed the torch over to the TNG crew, Paramount should have talked to you when they wrote the original one.

  • It shows the way to the stars;-)

Starship Enterprise only safe that future ;-)

    reach the stars ;-)

  • Thumbs up if you're a geek. :D

  • Everytime Riker states he wants a shot at the captain's chair on the Enterprise, I expect Picard to pick it up and hand it too him.

  • I loved the ending to Star trek VI. The dialouge of William Shatner and the cast's signatures was a nice touch.

  • So much better ending.

  • @cpufightclub well its both, thats why the galaxy was, IMO, the best Star Ship ever created by the ST Universe.

  • @starraider113

And... what does this have to do with Star Trek, exactly?

  • They should have let Kirk live and made him and admiral/star fleet academy teacher that way he could still make cameos...

  • Interesting anternative.

  • UGH the galxay class is so much cooler than the Sovereign class. why did they have to fuck it up?

  • @translucentorb galaxy class is a pleasure boat, not a warship.

  • @cpufightclub None of the Enterprise's are supposed to be war ships. Not even 1701-E. Ships of exploration. That can kick ass to defend themselves on occasion. Including 1701-D. The fastest and most power ship in the federation fleet, until the sovereign class came along.

  • @mikeb00056 hence the reason feds need Q and the Prophets to bail them out.

  • @mikeb00056 The Enterprise-E does look more warlike though. Her colour is darker, her yellow deflector dish is less bright than the red and blue of D, her shape is more aggressive, less graceful because of the lack of the typical "neck" under the saucer section. I like both designs. They only reflect two different ways to see Star Trek. A movie has to be more action-packed than a TV show. E fits better that purpose than D. I also like the Excelsior-class ships.

  • @Xerxes2005

Don't forget the new enterprise on 2009 movie too :), excellent ship!

  • @translucentorb the sovereign class fits the 16:10 movie screens better than the 4:3 Galaxy class =) Just like trying to put the square block into the triangle hole.

  • i would have had kirk in charge of the ship...enterprise e...taking her out on her maiden flight..with picard and ryker in back....then have that monologue

  • you ever notice how the USS faragut is in alot of Star Trek movies?

  • This is a far better ending...a better thing to see...to dream...and to hope for!

  • I am looking for that day when humanity of Earth finally leave home for the stars

  • The Official Star Trek Online universe continues after Romulus is destroyed. Spock is gone and has created an alternate timeline but the canon universe is still intact and people are still playing in the years after Romulus.

  • Man, gotta love that starship design...

  • i thnik this ending is way better becuase william shatner is in it

  • Of course if you take the new movie as cannonized Star Trek most of what we know in the Star Trek universe has probably never happened... at least not the way we're familiar with. If you alter the timeline it's important that you restore it, I've heard enough Prime Directive speeches to know that!

  • @AsaphProject Trek as a whole went down the tubes when Gene died. Rick Berman cares more about flexing his "I rule trek now" muscles than anything else. Whatever idiot placed him in charge should be fired.

  • @drownoble I have to disagree, Gene was responsible for creating StarTrek in a monster of the week kind of way, with obviously no continuity in the Trek universe. Where Rick Berman took it into a more of a "seson problem/ crisis" which develops over the course of the entire series like the Dominion War in DS9. I felt more of a connection to the later series which relied less on monster of the week, and more of a continuing plot development. I think Gene would approve of it.

  • @ds17166 That's the problem Trek wasn't about mass wars like the Dominion War. Gene had 1 shot episodes and multi-episodes storylines. Rick did what he wanted when he wanted and it didn't matter if it made any sense at all. The mirror universe episode of ENT is a perfect example of this. Had Gene still been alive Voyager would of never happened and ENT would of had a LOT of rewrites.

  • @drownoble At the very least, Voyager and Enterprise stayed more true to the origanal idea of "exploring strange new worlds" than DS9 did. I thought Enterprise was more "Star Trek" than StarTrek, it felt like a real crew with flaws and problems. Sure it took liberty on the Xindi war, and the re-write of human history... but thats no new concept to Star Trek even in Gene's lifetime. Everyone has an opinion, this is mine, and I respect yours too. But really, it is a matter of personal idealsm

  • @ds17166 Voyager was Lost in Space set in Trek than anything else. Solely Rick Berman's baby as Gene had been proposed the idea and rejected it previously. Voyager had many flaws as if the writers were unfamiliar with Trek in general. Having a cook since for some reason the replicators weren't in use and no doctor on board as an example. ENT was very liberal in retcons, though I did like how the Tripp-T'Pol relationship developed. Tripp's death however was VERY lame and felt forced.

  • @drownoble Well,... maybe the doctor didn't arrive until tuesday lol... however, I'd permanatly delete the last episode of enterprise and replace it with something... enterprise? The relationship did develop very well, and the series i thought was really well written for what it was. But that was a HORRIFIC final episode, might as well been assimilated by the borg.

  • @drownoble

What was wrong about the mirror ENT-epsiode? I think it was awesome!

  • @AsaphProject I wonder how the JJ enterprise would fair against the Borg at wolf 359 in 'modern JJ Galaxies and Soverins" lol That ship had some serious firepower, and a seizurific bridge :)

  • That would have been a great ending!!!

  • The farogot or w/e ship they beamed up to gets destroyed in DS9 Owned

  • Y they gotta decommission the A so early????????????

  • Got me a goosebump. Nice work.

  • I prefer this ending.

  • very nice I like this ending better

  • Much better, maybe they can get him back in an alternative future. This time He'll come back to save Volcano planet from being destroyed.

  • I like this version better and this would have allowed Shatner to be in most recent Star Trek movie with Nimoy.

  • @cfflpanthers yes but most of the original cast didn't want to continue with star trek, thus william shatner having kirk killed off. same thing happened when spock died in the wrath of khan, leonard nimoy didn't want to do it anymore but i guess changed his mind after the movie was produced. shatner probably got jealous because nimoy was in the new one and not him. besides, from the future spock came from, kirk was already dead, so it was pointless for him to appear.

  • In all honesty, it was either what originally happened (and still is canon) in Generations, or have Kirk end up a hobbling, practically invalid old man the way McCoy did. Now THAT would have been far more disturbing. Granted, Bones' comments in the TNG pilot were brief but hilarious, yet it still was incredibly sad to see him that way. The only TOS characters to cross the time divide successfully were Spock and Scotty.

  • Ahh the D class the ship that won the Dominion War.

  • Loved it!!! great job

  • I never liked the Sovereign.

  • The thing I and most fans of Star trek TOS always hated about this movie was Kirk Dying. Who the hell are the writers of ST Generations to decide what us fans want. It was nice to see in this ending that James T Kirk lived.

  • @Sarasdad91

You are so correct!! I was drawn into Star Trek back in 1966, and Captain Kirk and his crew will always be THE CREW. The alternate ending is how I prefer to accept "future" history. Blaman, you have done a true service to all those of us who were with Kirk out roaming the galaxy while TNG were still in diapers.

  • truth be told original and A were command cruisers, B was heavy cruiser, C was Com. War Cruiser, D was Dreadnought, and E is Battleship.

  • Sources for above claim include (but not limited to) in show in movie comments, Starfleet command 1, 2, 3, Armada 1 an 2, Star Trek Encylopedia, Wikipedia, Memory Alpha, in books, and the Star Trek website itself (Look up ship classes).

  • @amolchan001 The origional was just a Heavy Cruiser. A was the Command Cruiser. B was an Excelsior Class, a Battlecruiser. I am not sure about the Ambassador Class (Ent-C), but it was probably a Heavy Cruiser. I Agree with your assesments about D and E though. The only problem is that by the time the NG rolled around, Fed Political Correctness was coming into play, so they probably would have dispensed with the Battles, Wars and Dreadnaught Designations..

  • @wanderer711 original after the refit was same as A, agree with PC comment but most of these classifications don't come from in show spoken comments but production notes later added into game manuals, encyclopedias, tech manuals, the websites for star trek, and in the fiction books of differnt Star Trek series

  • @amolchan001 When they refit the Constitution class, it completely changed the entire ship. They changed the Designation of the Class to the Enterprise class to honor the 1701's Exploits. These became Command Cruiser class ships. But prior to this point, the Constitution Class was considered Heavy Cruisers.

  • @wanderer711 i'm pretty sure that the enterprise-c was similar to the enterprise-d, just of course the galaxy class being more surperior than the ambassador. in most games or information pages, enterprise-d is classified as an exploration cruiser. perhaps the ambassador class was in the same catagory, and if not, stronger than a heavy cruiser. so i don't know where it would fit.

  • Had that ending monologue not been used in Undiscovered Country as well as

Kirk not having been killed off, this actually would have made a kick ass ending

    to Generations.

  • That's one of the main things besides the Enterprise D getting destroyed which was so stupid; they wouldn't make the next Enterprise an inferior ship, going from a battleship to heavy cruiser.

  • Excellent ending...Fits well with the Star Trek 6 'Sign Off' ending cue and the new Enterprise E flying off.

  • The thing about the Nexis is you're not dead, and you never leave, they pulled Gynan out, yet she remained there, using that knowledge, that means Kirk is still in there. The twisting o the new Star Trek movie is everything is rewritten, time was changed, so all the series will require a redo, start it all over, white wash so to speak.

  • @Maples01 ahh, but the reason why gynan remained is because she felt herself attached to the nexus. kirk realized that nothing was real, and that he was better off leaving the nexus and actually doing something worth-while, so he didn't have a sustained emotional attachment to it, so kirk would no longer be there or have a memory there.

  • It was farragut. But u made me laugh! ;)

  • they beamed up to a ship called the faggot?

  • nah, if it had ended like this i wouldnt have liked it, the reveal of the E in first contact was the best.

  • that 1701E looks cardassian or something

  • Great job! I loved it! You should've ended at the panning out from the shipyard though. That leaves everything set up for First Contact.

  • Man, those Sovereign class ships are nice...

  • @jarrod40k the universe class ships kick ass too

  • @jarrod40k absolutely!

  • what movie is that clip from with kirk talking?

  • ST 6: The Undiscovered Country ... as is the music cue from the same movie too.

  • star trek genesis

  • eh who is the captain of the sovergine star ship its picard isnt it?

  • Poor Sammyy46 got buried in an avalanche of comments.

  • well made.

  • I think the last movie with the TOS cast should of been 6. It ended quite well to pass it on to the next crew. They really fucked it up in Generations...

  • is 0:58 from nemesis?

  • @Sammyy46 No Its A New Enterprise ! Se Enterprise E ist An "souvinger Klass" the D ist a "Galkaxy Klass"

  • dude its a completely new ship....

  • @666DarkEgo no shit Sherlock...

  • @Sammyy46 dude enterprise d is a galaxy class enterprise e is a sovereign class

  • Jonathan Frakes ainda estava muito bonito neste filme; sempre gostei mais dele na série da tv!

  • awesome endings! see now this would have made the movie one of the best in the series and would have set it up for alot better cameo for series following the movie should have have had any

  • Much better way for Generations to have ended. Where were you back then?

  • Is this for real or a fan edit?

  • Beautiful.

  • That was very good.

  • Excellent ending! I agree with gremmpaltakin that you should have been hired to do Generations!

  • It's a space boat.

  • undiscovered countries?

    lol

  • undiscovered sequels haha

  • In a way the 1701-E is a flashback to Kirks the pylon holding up the nacelles are nearly identicle to kirks 1701 refit and A, the lower hull is similar to the original and A version. but you have Picard like advances to it, the nacelles themselves are borgish if you dont mind, and the saucer has a distinct curve to it that makes it look like the B or the D speaking about the B the height seems more compact than most of the enterprises like the Nx-01 or B or the J that appeared soon after.

  • So you're saying they'll save sharks instead of whales.

  • I loved it! Berman should have hired you to do Generations. That ending would have redeemed that mad scientist flick for me.

A much more appropriate ending with Kirk, saying the line from VI, and also a much better introduction of the Ent E then the abrupt unceremonious short reveal in First Contact.

Only thing I would have dumped was the flyby, it was perfect after the clip from Nemesis.

  • it ok , though you could have used a different flyby from nemesis and extended it , one the ones where Enterprise warps out to fit the fanfare at the end

  • Well, for some reason my DVD of Nemesis was being stupid. I had a hard enough time ripping the footage I did.

  • lol , i know what thats like , damn rippers

  • @blaman327 I think he means the Insurrection ending...

    You have Insurrection, I suppose.

  • At the end of Generations, there are 3 ships going into warp, one of the ships has a large saucer, is that the ship itself or whats left of Enterprise?

  • Its a Nebule class ship its the USS Faragut

  • Is Neither, Its The USS Faragut, The Ship That beams Them Back Up.

  • Strangely enough, one of the roles the Nebula Class was to have, but rejected, was to recover the Saucers of separated Galaxy Class ships that loose their stardrive section.

However, that was indeed, just another ship, not the recovered Enterprise D.

  • Kirk is not dead....''there are always possibilities'' Captain Spock

  • @TRUMPER007 Yes, there are always possibilities....unless your body is left decomposing on Veridian III under a pile of rocks for the local wildlife to feed off of.

  • all honesty generations for the fans should be remade( by me) plus in the future i will direct a movie prequel to the next generation. Showing all of you how every character came to be before they joined starfleet and boarded the Enterprise D

  • LOVE the Enterprise E... so good-looking...

And I love Shatner, but I'm OK with this new Kirk they've made. He had no father and so had less of a guiding hand as a youth, so he's still Kirk, still intelligent and confident, but without that guiding father figure he's also rougher and more arrogant.

I really think we're in for a treat with the Abram's crew. It's Kirk and Crew again, our icons back- with slight twists, as they're young and will grow into their roles with the coming movies.

  • It will be easy for the new writers, because they can just repackage everything that was already done better. Since they dropped a brown steamy one on established canon, they dont have to be accurate or make sense at all!

  • Kirk never shouldve died period it wasnt necessary to kill off his character.Afterall true legends never die they only grow more prominent over time especially James T.Kirk.(Shatners version and only Shatners version that is!)

  • i love star trek cant get a noff of it

  • Kind of cool, Better I think than the real ending even. Kudos

  • nice one

  • Nice. Keep watching.

  • Nicely done. Just makes me sad that we're still stuck with the original Generations. heh

  • in a way Sov is remake of Exelsior made more for combat than exploration (unlike Constitution, Ambassador or galaxy, not to mention most other federation ships) so ToS is still there. (was before ENT and XI movie)

  • Actually the Constitution was more of a warship than the Ambassador or Galaxy. It was made when cowboy diplomacy and conflicts with the Klingons were commonplace. It was after the Excelsior Class when the Fed ships were wussied down.

  • Superb ending, nice touch using the 'sign off' theme from Star Trek 6 as Kirk passes the baton to TNG crew.

  • I like it.

  • WAY better ending!!

  • Comment removed

  • Nicely done!

  • Old 1701 D !!!

  • Extremely well done mate. I thoroughly enjoyed this and I would love to to see this put onto a DVD version of the film. I always imagined something like this and wanted to see it done and you found a way to do it. Well done and thank you!!!

  • he was in generations (the movie) though.

  • nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THAT IS FREAKING GOOD VIDEO!

  • I'm more gutted at how they killed off the Enterprise than anything, 7 series it survived Borg,Klingon everything.....it was just a bad way to destroy my fave ship =( RIP Ent D

  • agreed. :(

  • the name enterprise comes with a degree of luck WWII enterprise survived 5 years of battle kirks enterprise 8 years but unfortunately it ran out here and she rests one of the finest ships star trek has ever known goodbye 1701-D U.S.S. enterprise

  • that is true... but I do think we are talking about ship D. still like the Kirk monologue.

  • I like this ending better!!

  • yuck hate e class

  • Enterprise-E is strongest

  • the neck still looks bad

  • Read The Return and The Avenger... and yes it is in cannon... Just cus your an ignorant, doesn't mean that your right.

  • The Shatnerverse isn't canon.

  • ya I realized I was wrong right after I posted... lolz... but in my eyes it is canon, only Paramount hates the idea. I am a radical Trekkie...

  • Wait, so Kirk doesn't die at all in this version?

I thought he is supposed to be shot in the back.

  • UMMMMM.....NO!

  • check out KIRK VS THE ROADRUNNER

  • check out KIRK VS THE ROADRUNNER

  • I was prepared to hate this but it's great! Good job.

  • I thought is was a for real alternate ending they did not use!

  • I quote mister spock, "Captain, JIM!!!"
