  • Awesome visuals, but holy christ, TUNE THAT GUITAR !!

  • @sniggity i believe its supposed to sound like that because of the childish nature of the video and how simple things can make a great video.

  • oooo ahhhh very kewl!!

  • that is by far the most awesome animation i have ever seen

  • nice...

  • Wow! that was fantastic!! it really was, i havent seen anything like it ever, brilliant!!!

the only thing i ask is how much paper did you use??.... 1 per frame, 24 frames per second, 44 secons worth at about 10 layers per frame,... my calculation says 10,560 pieces of paper to make this 44 secons of film.

beautiful work, just not every green.

  • okay did you really figure that out r did you ust make that up completly

  • get a calculator, its real.

    24 frames/sec TIMES 44 seconds = 1056 frames.

then TIMES by 10 layers deep = 10,560.

i dont make anything up. it's true. and next time you want to question someone, reply to them, dont say it trying to make them look foolish. i lay the numbers out for you, now do the math, dont just look at it thinking "that cant be right, he made that up". ya sitting at a giant calculator, try using it!

i just hope each layer was the frame before it, if ya know what i mean.

  • ok... sorry I just would never be able to figuer that out so I just thought it was cool. sorry if you took it the wronge way I didn't mean it like that

  • that cool, sorry i jumped on ya. i was a bit rude and it was a little un-called for. didn't mean to be so rude.

    take care.

  • thats alright... i was alittle rude too. I was just wondering cause there's alot of people on youtube who would just make that stuff up. I would love to know how to figure that stuff out but I just don't know how

  • it's just a little over 400 frames.

  • @CaptnSC00BA maybe there is a way to re-use the previous stencils in the next frame by putting them further away instead of making a smaller version, or is that actually how it's done, i can't really tell either way it's amazing

  • @Sarsington yeah, i love this vid, i just wish i hadn't gone on about the paper. there are many ways this could've been done, and i really respect the time and effort that was put into it....

again excellent work, totally original. i wish the foolishjavan would make more of these because it really is the most original idea for animation i've ever seen.

  • @Tjopies as i said "i love this vid, i just wish i hadn't gone on about the paper. there are many ways this could've been done, and i really respect the time and effort"

i wrote that calculation 2 YEARS AGO! long before i knew or understood how this was actually done, and so (like 93.7% of all you-tubers) i wrote BEFORE THINKING, soOoOorry!!! IT WAS NOT DONE THAT WAY, I UNDERSTAND! gee-wizz

here's some good advice that i picked up over the last 2 years: READ and THINK before you write!

  • @CaptnSC00BA - Mate, no disregard intended. I figured the same way, until I saw the setup video, how he did it. But he sadly removed his video from Vimeo. Why is everyone so hasty to feel attacked when someone replies to anything at all...?

  • @Tjopies the dude is right man, like he already said there are other ways and he said he wished he never said that shit... sounds like he's backing down and commending the work... what more do ya want?

a reply to a 2year old comment... LMFAO, get with the times dude! good one keyboard hero, LOL!

  • @CaptnSC00BA perhaps 10 layers per frame, but 9 of those are previous frames

  • splendid

  • W..O..W.. thats damn cool, love it

  • that's a student work!?! did you develop the technique yourself. you've got to tell me how you did it.

  • that was great!

  • 0_o

  • Unreal. Such a cool technique!

  • that's awesome!

  • Love it! Thanx!

  • DAYM!! Awesome! ^__^

  • AMAZING!!! how many paper cutouts did you use?

  • wow :]

  • Dude.

    Stratastencil rocks.

Gonna keep it in mind as an animation tech ;) (hope you don't mind)

  • That is fucking incredible! Well done!

  • Hi

I do almost the same but with pictures. It takes time to do one. Some come out good some not so good.

I use a chicken but it came out very shaky because the 21 pictures I took was hand held.

Looks great took a lot of work and time to put to-gether Jocar

  • Your work Looks great and must of took a lot of work and time to put to-gether

  • "Must of took"?

  • I'll correct him: "Must have taken"

Now, shut up and move on with your life.

  • just awesome!

  • beautiful work. yay bike!

  • AWESOME!

  • Awesome! I'm a filmmaker and I still don't know exactly how you did this. Very cool.

  • I predict a commercial or musicvideo featuring this technique will be made in less the half a year. I hope they ask you! It's brilliant. I really like the grass and the swing.

Would be nice to see a making of ;)

  • Really neat animation.

Guitar sounds abit out of tune?

  • thats one heck of a stencil job Javan!! You gave it so much lapse-depth. Whats the paper depth kept at? 50? Love the idea. BRAVO!!

  • thats amazing. i love it!

  • great idea. so simple but effective.

  • lovely. once id worked out how you did it, seemed so simple. alot of prep work bet.

  • THIS IS NUMBER 1! indeed!! i'd like to know more about this stratastencil technique, please... :p

  • oh thats awsome

  • nice work javan

  • cool clip! r u like trying to portray the thought process here?

  • Man that is sweet! I always have respect for someone who can come up with there own concepts and do their own thing! Keep it up man! :)

  • wow. that was amazing and fun to watch

  • Your so good!! Keep doing what your doing!

  • Oh... man... i had a very similar idea last year... but i've never thought of it as analogue (or non magnetic) feedback! Loved your video.

  • rawk on.

  • awesome
