@BuddyFantastic I like 'em too, but most of the Japanese fighters were good-looking in a distinctive way. I always thought it funny that the J2M "Raiden" (Thunderbolt) looked a bit like the P-47 Thunderbolt. It's a vague similarity, but they're both sorta barrel-shaped with the razor-back fuselage, and even the planform is similar (except the J2M is tapered an both the leading and trailing edges. It's like a P-47 that someone squished a bit shorter and narrower.
I got in the flight sim genre with Fighters Anthology but really caught on how to play the game with European Air War. Il2 Sturmovik '46 was (is) a bettter version of EAW. I look forward to the next leap. It'll all be in the visuals. This video looks good.

With the nipponese running around in their pajamas all the time-who can say ("gay")? And those 500 pound diaper wearing "sumos"-wow- sure do have big "babies" in Japan?!
absolutely right. German, produced Bf-109G-6,Ta-152 and Me-262. As well as Japan too, mostly Ki-84. And i reckon that Italy also produce a well built fighters to, MC-205V...
Later aircraft tend to have higher performance thanks to technological advances. Though I think a late mark griffon Spitfire could give the last of the Japanese piston engined a/c a run for their money in a straight dogfight, likewise late German piston engined fighters. If you consider range, reliability, safety and acceleration as important factors when deciding on what was 'best' then the early jets were far from the best. No apostrophe in 'planes', BTW.
Technologically it was superb, Hitler's poor decisions hampered its introduction and the scarcity of exotic materials required to withstand the high temperatures of the hot turbine sections made it unreliable. It was around 100mph faster than contempory allied fighters and as such, in 'boom and zoom' combat it was untouchable. It was vulnerable during takeoff and landing and the powerplants were unreliable. However, it was a benchmark in aeronautical design. Put basically: you are wrong.
Given the number of Bf109s flying at the end of the war versus the number of Me262s (which tended to be flown by only the most experienced Luftwaffe 'Experten') I doubt that very much. Have you any references to support your claim? I can't find any and it sounds a bit far fetched to say the least.
Awesome CG, especially the Ki-61's rolling away from the camera. BTW, the new address is * (WhiskeyWhiskeyWhiskey) (dot) k4 (dot) dion (dot) ne (dot) jp (slash) ~suppon (slash) *

I love the look of the Raiden and the Ki-61. Two of my favourite WW2 Japanese aircraft.

What's a Nipponese? Someone from Nepal?
And I believe most Sumo wrestlers are in their 20's onwards. Hardly "babies".
Or were you just making a bad and stupid joke?

there are no N1K1 in the video, it's a J2M
Faucon551237 4 years ago
I think the a/c landing at 00:35 is an N1K1. I might be wrong but I don't think I am.
pete2778 3 years ago
it's an A6M Zeke. It's too thin and large to being a N1K ;)

it wasn't the best at all.
the latest aircraft of japan where better.
And the germans had also better plane's

outgun me262?
come on..
50 cal vs cannon,20mm or 30mm?
damn..
naqruf91 4 years ago
Thats why the Me262 did horrible? Ya, it came in too late, but it was a horrible plane
WTCTribute 4 years ago
what do you mean?
it's a great plane..
naqruf91 4 years ago
Ya, thats why most of them constructed were shot down, and the rest were captured by American and russian soldiers
WTCTribute 4 years ago
it came too late caused by hitler's order to switch it to fighter bomber..
so..
if hitler wasn't involved..
you won't even dare to say that!
naqruf91 4 years ago
Lol, even if it were a regular fighter, it still would have sucked. The ME262 had more loses to enemy bombers than the ME109 did in 6 months!
WTCTribute 4 years ago
so what..
it came too late to be in production..
and at least it's a jet lol...
naqruf91 4 years ago
Lol, ya, a jet which sucked ass. Although it gave us what we have today, it sucked...
WTCTribute 4 years ago
lol.
so whatever..
it's a jet!
and it works!
the first to be in production..
beat that..
it's the pioneer man...
