  • OOUUUCH.(YEAH, SHE FINE)

  • Linda was so sexy here!

  • I like it when she says... Get Down!!...i bet she was a good F#@K too.

  • EVERY day was a good hair day for Linda Clifford!

  • WOW!! SHE WAS A LOOKER!!

  • It is all about the funk! For those that know. xxx

  • I love the song, but god I thought my right earphone blew out! Phew.

  • @Falsate Don't sweat it, I had the same problem haha :D

  • go head gurl

  • No Heart Ache To Spare

  • A time when music video didn't have to have 50 different sceneries & 1000 back up dancers and booty shorts, girls washing cars in their bikinis just to get people to watch and the sensless lyrics that they have now. Oh, The simple days i am seeing it to be and wish it was, and im just a 1984 baby.

  • Love this song, never saw it performed but I'm laughing at the assorted characters in the crowd!

  • Wow, after this song, she's my new best singer...LOL

She sounds like a mix between Millie Jackson ("Ugly Man") and Tasha Smith ("Why Did I Get Married - One and Two").

  • This was foot stomping, soul stopping talent with the clothes on. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Beyonce..

  • Great song. Forttunately, the heart and soul in these liyrics work both ways.

  • " I am sad that Beyonce is the standard for this generation, the biz has left no room 4 others"

Sad isn't it?...Back in the day which should be the future..we had lots of singers and choices in good music....

  • "I am sad that Beyonce is the standard for this generation, the biz has left no room 4 others."

Sums up the feelings of a lot of us!!!

  • yes she sure does have talent, and it's ashame that so many have been squeezed into the same mold. many would scoff at the notion of there being someone molding human affairs. yet, for some reason, things only get worse, not better. why is that? but to keep it simple, like my German friend said, she sure does have talent and quietly so.

  • Diese Frau hat still und talent. Erst jetzt entdecke wie toll sie singt.

  • I can't imagine a cheaper video shoot

  • @BrooklynPerson30000 Linda doesn't call it "cheap." It's "experimental." LOL.

  • I love her hair!! Can we bring this style back Ladies, please??!!

  • @AussieKen1972 IT WILL START WITH YOU, AND PEOPLE WILL COPY, I LOVE HER FACE AND HAIR, AND THE 70'S WERE CLASSY....

  • Me encanta esta muy mujer, para mi es la mejor cantante te queremos mucho linda, te adoroooooooooooooo, saludos desde VENEZUELA,

  • The only person that understand whats going on is the black guy dancing.Look at the expressions on the white women faces, not wanting their men to look.

  • This woman if and then some...

  • Man that girl was fine!!!

  • THAT BIG HAIR LOVE IT!

  • This is one of my favorite oldies. I used to sing it with a brush as a mike when I was a kid. I even had an accident singing so hard, I had my eyes closed. lol I love this song!

  • Oh yea...She will be performing June 18th, 2011 @ the Dunkin Donuts Ctr...Providence, RI...Along with the Tavares, GQ, The Trammps, D-Train, Taste of Honey, Linda Crawford,France Jolie, Evelyn Champagne King & Chic

  • NYC Streets ForEver

  • the song is on bet

  • soooooooo this is where LudaCris and M.J.B got their hook for Run Away Love... lol they say good music repeats itself

  • @GeorgiaDivaKrissy this song never got the attention that it truly deserved. I was only in my early teens when I heard this and I've always loved it. On top of that, Ms. Linda is a great vocalist! I think Donna Summer was so popular around that time that everyone forgot all the other artists out there! LOL

  • @nazreyes Yeah last year when i was in chorus my sub chorus teacher told me something that made sense to me and what i kinda already knew. Artist use artist that we never heard of so that we can think that everything is original. And all artist do sample off of the same thing... so it is what it is.. Good music nees good music to servive

  • @nazreyes black radio stations ate this song up. It went all the way to #3 on Billboard's R&B chart

  • @rufus317 that's the point i'm making, though. It should've gone POP, too. I think this song was too scary to play in pop radio back then LOL Even "Red Light" from FAME didn't go pop and Fame was a popular movie back then! Ms. Linda got robbed!!! ;)

  • I'd love it if someone would post her song, "Only The Angels Know." I've always loved that song and she does it so well.

  • Without doubt one of the all time great cuts!!!! Never gets old!

  • so FINE!!!!!

  • BIG hair!

  • I Oh wee she was so fine!I was In love with her ....and I was 8Yrs old!

  • Now that's what i call a good looking woman. Beauty is really in the eye of the beholder and i am def beholding Ms. Clifford.

  • what girls can´t do today! look gorgeous and sing at the same time!

  • wifey material

  • BEYONCE

  • Linda Clifford = Class.

  • SAW A RECENT PIC OF LINDA & THAT HEFFER HAS NOT AGED AS A MATTER OF FACT SHE LOOKS BETTER NOW THAN THEN. THE SAME GOES FOR BARBARA MASON & DARLENE LOVE IT JUST AINT FAIR

  • Alright now, you took it way back!!! Back when "couple dancing" was cool...

  • What the hell...? Who posted this..? How in the world did you ever find this..? Sir, or Madame, or are a genius.. I never knew this had a video to it... lol Remarkable.. And not only that, she was super fine too... lol God Bless You...

  • It's really sad that so many young people on here can only compare her to Beyonce which is their only reference point. The comparison goes only as far as skin complexion. Many sistas looked like this in the 1970's disco era. It was a common look. Beyonce did not look to Linda Clifford as Linda Clifford was not that huge. She had great hits and this was her biggest but Beyonce is Beyonce. Linda is Linda. I am sad that Beyonce is the standard for this generation, the biz has left no room 4 others.

  • @HaliB75

I couldn't have said it better.

  • @HaliB75 me and my mom love this song...i miss the 70s and 80s and all so 90s songs!!!)

  • @HaliB75 I played this EVERYDAY when I was growing up back in the late 70's! Love the Jones Girls back up vocals! This song was the bomb back in the day especially in the clubs back then! BEYONCE? What does she have to do with this woman? Linda had some hits like you said but she did it back then and Bey does it now I suppose for this generation!

  • @HaliB75 AMEN!!!!!

  • @HaliB75 Girl you need to git off yer high horse! Them are both stars!

  • so many people watching but Linda doesn't lose concentration. she is drinking their energy and she feeds them back

  • "Sick & Tired Of The same Ol Thing"

  • Come Fly With Me--UniVers@l Kem@ker--SuB 4 ***

  • flat out classic!!!!!!

  • Fierce!

  • circa 1975

  • @pictureisup1 Sorry it was circa 1978

  • ...who the hell put her on a fountain ?? WTF...and everybody's standing around staring at her like ??? Should've shot it "LIVE AT THE PARADISE GARAGE" or in THE LOFT !

  • @dirtyedna WELL SAID!

  • 6 people ran away from love

  • Fabulous!

  • she looks like a 70s bryonce

  • @NEWBOYN Do you mean Beyonce looks more like her?! :)

  • She's pretty

    but the attitude is shitty

This is the anthem of the modern woman. Spending all her time on her job and wondering why she hasn't mastered true woman's game.

  • @Backin1985 I wish I had never left!

  • Gosh ,i missed those old school black beauties.

  • Love me some Linda

  • Soul disco in mid/late '70s was the best -- producers arranged songs and vocals so they had attitude, and blocked the verses and bridge to some great climaxes -- and the long-playing versions, with their instrumental middle parts, were gold.

  • yes she is in Chicago she was on Curtis Mayfields label Curtom records based in Chicago

  • Those eyes, those lips- THAT HAIR. I am in love!

  • This is another favorite song of mine!!

  • @AfreeQueen Thankx She in The Chi, And She Is Bangin Right?

  • What City Is She In?

  • @brickcitybadass I think that's Chicago. She may be sitting on Buckingham Fountain. I could be wrong.

Damn, she looks like a mix between Beyonce, Shante' Moore and Sheila E. GORGEOUS!

  • she turns 66 tomorrow

  • If you like this try freda payne - Band of gold or the supremes- Stone love or the Equals Black skin blue eye boy or the nite lites- K Jee

  • As funky as this song is, why isn't anyone dancing? I can't keep still when this song comes on!

  • @October3074 cause them mfs lame!lol they dont know style

  • @5822huron

Either that or they didn't get liquored up yet! lol

  • 1978 baby! This song still sound good to this day!

  • I'm so glad I found this video. When I was 12 years old, I chose this song to lip sync to and act out for my drama class assignment. I was spunky then and I'm still as spunky and sassy as ever. Wow that was 30 years ago. OMG I'm almost 43 hahahaa

  • Comment removed

  • Oh, how I remember that song from the summer of 1978.

  • NYC baby! southwest corner of 59th street and 5th avenue in the fountain in front of the Plaza Hotel. Looks nothing like that today!

  • Thank you for sharing this. Hot song sung by a classy singer. Wow!

  • @wingslyp MY JAM .. REMEMBER THIS AS A KID

  • very great vid!! she's pretty and so sensual

  • They dont make it like this anymore...the beat...The thought into it and everything

  • The songs written these days are made with a video in mind. They aren't written with consideration to the actual music anymore. It sucks. Video really has ruined music. This is a great song.

  • classic!

  • Wow i love Linda Cliffords music. She was sexy too.

  • Love the song and the bit of "history". The crowd is laughable...no soul (except for that one guy who felt the beat). Everyone just stood there as opposed to swaying or moving with the disco beat. Shame on them. Kudos to Linda, one classy vocalist with a smooth sound. Thanks for posting this.

  • ouuhhhh That one right there hhmm hmmm!!

  • WOW...I never knew Linda Clifford was this HOT! I was about 3 yrs. old when this video was made, thank you for this video post!

  • she better work! Is that the Sweethearts of sigma singing background? This sounds like a precursor to the first stage of Grace Jones disco persona.

  • Sweethearts of what??? That's the illustrious Jones Girls singing background on this song!!!

  • oh. love the jones girls too. Sweethearts of Sigma did huge amount of backing vocals for Grace Jones and the like in the 70s.

  • Very pretty. She can sing so well! I miss music like this.

  • Good old childhood memories!

  • Heard this quality track this morning on Pointblank Fm. Never heard it before but an instant foot-mover and absolute classic.

  • right down memory lane, the good old days were sweet.

  • Classy....

    A real diva.

  • This was the song that Erykha Badu's Tyrone was based upon in my opinion

  • Clifford was a Miss NY,

  • Yes, indeed she was and a much underrated artis toot! She could sing soft ballads and then sing some real belters. Oh my god she really looked stunning in this clip. I must admit to not having heard this song before but I'm glad I did. Thank you so much for sharing this. It amazes me how such long forgottten clips can suddenly turn up on youtube and take us on a trip to memory lane.
