This trick is done quite a bit. very simple to do but it has a great effect. There is actually a rip half way through the tall card, you can see this at 48 seconds. there is another tutorial out there for this card trick already.

after watching about 20 times i think ive realised how. he slides the 2 through the king then with the rip in it he slides it behind so that when he folds it over he just folds the top half. i think??
