I am wondering if you can help me. I am texturized and sometimes wear my hair straight. My hair is short and rollersetting does not give me the straight look that I am looking for. Can you tell me the steps that I should take after putting in the Lottabody Setting Lotion. I am hoping to wrap my hair instead and to go under the dryer with my hair wrapped. Now I feel like I need to relax every 3-4 weeks to keep it fresh! Of course I'm not doing that, but please let me know how often you retouch or how often you recommend it. Thanks!

Lol.. Part 2 is uploading now, then part 3. Youtube takes forever! I use Vitale Relaxer. Whatever you do, don't use no-lye relaxer, it makes the hair look dry and brittle. For real! Thanks for watching!

No, but these are the good relaxers that Sally's carries: Revlon (yes, it's good), Bantu, Motions, Silk Elements..just to name a few. You may have a transition phase when you switch over, but it's worth it in the long run. It can cause breakage because of the two different formulas on the hair strand, so place it on the new growth only and condition well AND please use NEUTRALIZING SHAMPOO after you rinse the perm out. Shampoo at least twice with it, then condition.

@colouredbeautiful thanks for sharing that Revlon is a great relaxer! My sisters and I have been using Revlon for at least 15 years! I've been spreading the word lately and I cannot believe so many people have not heard of it or tried it. Once again thanks! Oh, and cream of nature is a good relaxer as well.

@colouredbeautiful that has been my issue too. I have been using no lye relaxers for almost 5 years now, simply because I was told that a lye relaxer is very damaging. One of the things I cannot stand, especially when I try to blow dry my hair, is the dry and brittle look. I would love some shiny, healthy long relaxed hair.
