This discussion should begin on the premise 'All rap ain't Hip-Hop' and 'All rap is not good rap', thus eliminating 90% of the debate and 80% of the artists of today, Drake and Nikki Minaj included. The A&Rs, talent scouts and label execs could care less about the music, and concentrate on what sells and who buys it. Hip Hop is no longer Black, urban or hardcore but it is popular and hence, NOT HIP HOP AT ALL. It is pop, radio friendly and bland, like the people who listen to it. PC for GC....
