Why would PanAm, TWA and Singapore Airlines fly to Hellenikon in the 1980's?.

This was beautiful landings for all international airlines involved. But this happened in 1976/1977 because East African Airways (EAA) which operated the Super VC 10s and whose aircraft the Super VC10 is the last to land here at Hellenikon, in Athens, was not in existance in 1980s. EAA went burst in 1977 December. I was a Cabin Crew in EAA.

That means you are either a little too fast or you are flaring the nose a little too much, or too early. Make sure you watch your radio altitude reading (shows how much above ground you are) and VSI (descent rate) to know exactly when to flare and by how much to pull the stick/yoke back. Its very easy to miscalculate and flare early when judging by the outside view.

It's the Ilyushin IL-62 flown here by "Interflug" the airliner of the ex East Germany!

don't know much about FS, didn't know it could generate footage which seems so realistic.

For more realism, stick to a certain date and check if these aircraft could have been typically around. For instance the Convair 990 of Swissair, VC-10 of East African and HS-121 of Cyprus were gone by 1975, while the Monarch and BA 757s had post 2000colourschemes, while an Eastern A-300 would never visit Athens.

thanks for comment! My house is very close to this airport, and I was born in 1975, but I remember Convairs, Tridents. As far as the other planes you are right, I just added them as extra!!

Also the Boeing 747-200 from Singapore Airlines has no 80s colour theme.

In the 80s the colours and details were more basic.

When I was a young boy I went sometimes with my dad to ''De Kaagbaan''.

That was the best place to see landings and take offs at Schiphol.

Very nice memories......watching planes and eating chips with mayonaise ;)....

Also that time(around 1989)I saw the old singapore colours.

No, this one was Athens International airport from 1938 to 2001. Now (unfortunately) it's closed!!
