  • Interviews with players from that era, video, radio, books, magazine and newspaper articles, etc. The book's bibliography runs four pages in small print.

  • I turned nine the summer of '73. Baseball was magical to me back then, as it is for many boys between the time we learn to read a box score and discover girls. Researching this book gave me the thrill that comes in middle age when one connects with a youthful passion. I hope I've been able to pass that along to readers.
