As you can see from the later duel, Saber fencing is much more interesting than your traditional epee.

1. They are wearing gloves.

2. They are fencing classically hence the numerous exchanges which isn't existent in today's sport fencing

3. Its called Theatrical Fencing which is "Performance based", "Flashy", a lot of fun to look at as well as being fundamentally sound.

4. Good choreograph nonetheless and making epee, one of the most boring weapons look interesting =p

@felix24375 It isn't a sabre mask. It is simply a mask with white paint instead of the classic black paint around it... Sabre mask has to be conducting and I doubt white paint over it will make it conducting. If it ever does, please let me know :D

It's not wireless you can see the reels behind him and hooked to the jacket when they fence. and the body cords are there too, but mr bond doesn't seem to have his bodycord plugged in to his weapon. This is horribly cheesy and bad, but hey it's bond it wouldn't be bond if it wasn't.

I don't know I think he catered to his ego. I think Bond intentionally got hit twice to make Graves get close to the win by 2 points near game match. Then Bond ups the wager with a diamond which is obviously more than 2 grand with 2 points by Graves. On the 3rd match, Bond hits Graves on the wrist and on a Epee match that would count as a point. Either way safety equipment is beneath Bond and we know he's a fearless badass XD
