I agree with you mossboy4.A woman can not be a bishop according to my knowledge of the scriptures.And Nashvilleboi God does use women as well as men,however it is ordained that "MEN" exclusively hold the office of a Bishop.And I don't agree about God changing who He wants to run His church,when it is clearly outlined,and the bible clearly says that "I am the Lord God and I changeth not".God Bless!!!

1 Tim 3:2 "The bishop MUST be the HUSBAND..." This proves that women will NEVER be qualified to be a bishop because a woman can NEVER become a husband!!! The bible clearly states that a bishop must be a husband, meaning a male!!! Now, please show me one woman in the past present or future who can be a husband!! I know folk have better sense than to believe a woman can be a husband! If she can't be a usband she can NEVER be a bishop!!!! Women bishops are totally against the WORD of GOD!!!

yes it may say that but you have to understand God is calling new people to do his work. God is calling not only men but women to head his church. it is a new day and time and God is talking and moving in a new form. God can change who he wants to run his church. Us men are clearly not doing what he wants so he is calling women to do so. No man can stop the calling of God. You must not know her story in the reasoning in why she ran for Bishop in the first place. Its All God.

Show me in the bible where the qualifications of a bishop have changed! Opinions do no one any good, as a Christian we need the WORD, we need proof according to what's written in the BIBLE, GOD's WORD!!!!

foolishness!! It could also mean that the Bishop had to be married! Or even that the Bishop had to be married to a woman b/c the gay sexuality didn't just appear!!! Now who are we to interpret the bible and enforce our personal beliefs on others! Just because we are raised or grew up a certain way does not make us right!
