No, he did not. He was afraid when the water hosed down on him. I think you can have your dog washed like this, after a period of getting him used to the machine, rewarding, calming words, etc. But I think in general it is not a good thing for dogs.

And I agree, this is just for fucking lazy people. I have Samoyeds, this would probably be the worst thing for them. Short haired dogs, heck, you can wash them everyday if you want, probably shouldn't, but it's easy and quick and I don't see why anybody could claim they don't have the time.

Dogs differ, but most are intelligent enough to accomodate things that they would otherwise be uncomfortable with (like being manhandled by the vet) just so long as a good rapport exists between the animal and the handler/owner. I should think at least a couple of dogs I've had would not only have gotten used to it quickly, but might well have ended up enjoying it.

b) Dogs only get traumatised from long term physical abuse. I guarantee any dog who doesn't like this will have forgotten about it within a day

My point is it's damn hard to get water in far enough to actually to actualy cause problems. Whenever I've had water in my ear i usually just forget about it and it goes away because it obviously isn't far enough in my ear or theres not enough of it and I dont have ear flaps. Imagine how hard it must be for the dog to get water in its ear.

The problem is common in dogs because dogs love to swim in water. Anyone with a serious ear case will have gotten it from swimming not showering
