YouTube builds a hash of each video and checks it against a banned list. By reversing it, you're changing the bytes, and thus changing the hash - avoiding the ban list.

@melvinceltic Sorry, but that's not the case at all. You'd have to be using something pretty crappy to accidently reverse the image. It's definitely to avoid the copyright. YouTube builds a hash of each video and checks it against a banned list. By reversing it, you're changing the bytes, and thus changing the hash - avoiding the ban list.
I'm definitely right - do a little research on google (search term: why mirrored youtube video) and you'll see ;P

There are more than you think, but to save the public losing confidence, it isn't always publicised. Info can be obtained from police and was in the press recently. Criminals associating with criminals that are serving officers leads to a lot of corruption. One lot were sacked for selling items they stole in raids ! Can't even trust police now.
