It gives you an idea of what happens after the series with the characters. I think the manga had a bit more romance too. It's heterosexual though, if that's what you meant.

I remember how the first time aria captured my interest with this sleepy but polite "Оhayo gozaimasu". After the opening begins, I knew it'll be much pleasure to watch this series.

Series such as Clannad: After Story and Aria really make me change my outlook on life. They're such perfect examples of stories that can really only be effectively told by anime which step off from the negative stereotypes that tend to come along with it. The themes in these shows apply perfectly to everyday life and should be adopted by everyone at some point. After all, life can be a beautiful thing, but only if you're willing to accept change for the better. Aria presents this flawlessly.

as for the mood and thoughts in the show, it's really great. but unfortunately to me, i find voice acting too "exaggerated". i would pay for a remake (if i could afford it ;p), just to see a (subjectively) perfect work of art. imho there is some space to make it even calmer, deeper and more 'directly' touching

Aria is my second favorite anime after Code Geass, but I must comment that President Aria [the cat], should not have been able to balance while on the chair. The distribution of weight seemed too uneven. But then again, this is a utopian society =).

Don't take my word on the order, but they're different seasons. I think it's Aria the Origination, Aria the Natural, and Aria the Animation. Each season is a continuation of the last.

When I first saw President Aria, I was like "what the heck is that?!"

So I watched and President Aria is actually a cat. A unique cat, not just by appearance, but what he does sometimes in the show.

But I guess every anime that has a cat in the cast is unique in their own way, huh?

Just read Aria volume 2....love the part where all main characters gather together to celebrate the New Year's Eve. The countdown part...along with those words that Akari says...omg...I almost cried. 2 Big thumbs up for whoever the author and art designer is.
