Does the meter make you do your business in a timely fashion so somebody else can park and do there's? What happens if people just park there doing no business, now the business suffers cuz we cant park to shop. Im not sure if there a bad thing?
The meters are there as a tax, usually to supplement the cost of something else. Where I live they just put in a huge five story parking garage. It's actually one of the tallest man made structures in all of down town. To pay for it they used stimulus money from the federal government, the rest of it is being payed by our meters. The meters here are usually free after 4:00pm. Now they will cost twice as much and you will have to pay until 6-7:00pm.
Good on ya guys for helping people out. Those "Meter maids" are not right for getting on you guys for helping others. Why does she care? The city is paying her anyway. All cops are in a click together.
