Musically, I love the first half of the chorus ("Control your bad side/Into battle" and later "Explode or capsize/But find my going") - so much so that I wish they found a way to repeat it more, even at the expense of the rest of the chorus.

And lyrically, I like all of the chorus, which I've always interpreted as a sort of war of words with an old acquaintance you met out drinking one night. (Anyone have a link to Gomez explaining the song?)

Great interpretation, really. I like the thought of the old acquaintance too. Would also like to hear the repetition thing, and I think the song is just too short.

I think In Our Gun may have come out before Kid A. The riff is also used by Elbow on Mexican Standoff.
