Tommy Quickly got into drinking and drugs early in his poorly-managed career and obviously couldn't control himself. This is an example of how that kind of lifestyle can make a fool of you. Combined with not enough actual talent, but being promoted by Brian Epstein, the Beatles manager. A mistake for sure.

I saw Tommy perform live as a support for the Beatles. I am still not sure whether he had any talent. His choice of songs and his treatment of them was rather strange as this clip clearly demonstrates.
