  • Do you realize that you samsung tv has seperate video setting for EVERY INPUT?

So it's no wonder that there's a difference in vidoe this way.

    Prepare you vid next time.

The only thing this thing does is scale the image to fullscreen instead of the scaler in your tv.

and it makes it possible to connect your Wii via HDMI connection.

I have the official unit and have similar settings for componenet and HDMI. No difference if settings are the same. The input signal just changes, wich the tv accepts

  • @Hielkenator I don't get what you're trying to say... it didn't matter what Video profile I chose the colours were always wrong. There was no yellow and the purple was far too strong. On top of that I didn't have the official product. Just a copy probably.. trust me I fully tested the product before sending it back, even if I missed a thing or two in this video. Peace.

  • No cable/converter will provide "anti aliasing". That is done at engine level.

  • You can edit the video in the enhancements there is light icon to make the video brighter or darker.

  • @SamuelgetsHacked87vr No there isn't ;) and I don't want to mess around with my Tv's settings just to make my Wii look better when I barely play my Wii anyway.

  • so can someone explain me on detail?

1.is the quality looks better than component cables?

2.1080p, so this mean its resolution is like ps3 and xbox360?are you sure?

  • @Ninchiboy the ps3 plays 720p most of the time, and the xbox upscales to 1080p. also, the wii already has 720p support.

  • so you really need component slots? does this wii2hdmi thing work with composite cables? sorry but im confused now

  • I paid 36, ordered from Amazon.

i recommend you THIS ADAPTER IF YOU HAVE A SAMSUNG LED since Wii component is fucked up there somehow! Got my Wii2HD yesterday and the quality is more than just decent. Only thing, 1080p doesn't stay, you need to click the button every time u turn the Wii on.

  • @rumladen @rumladen I just got a 21.5" Full HD LED Monitor for my Desktop which I will also use for my Wii. I'm looking at getting a proper one of these, not one off Ebay...

I'll upload another one afterwards and see how it goes. In the meantime why don't you do your own review and show us how your device goes :)

  • Oh and apparently there is a new HDMI Converter for the Wii that is meant to be really good. It's about 45€ though.

  • Gret video!

I just ordered the converter, is there a way to figure out which of both display modes (720p or 1080p) is activated before usage?

  • @Xerosch Is it really that important? You can just press the button once and it'll swap to another mode which it then tells you what mode it's on.

  • what was your problem with this? Just the colors? Was it that bad? What about image sharpness and quality?

  • @Glutenbob The colours were completely wrong. Try playing the clearest, sharpest most beautiful game (Xenoblade Chronicles) with absolutely NO purple in the entire game. Where all purple had been changed to 'blue'. Sharpness and clarity were absolutely amazing. Colour depth was MUCH higher, colours were far more vivid and bright but there was a total absence of the colour purple in the game. Also 'cream' turned to 'yellow' and even after tweaking the colours the problem remained so I returned it

  • @Kutittaa With my component cable the screen shackes and blankes out from time to time. If i plug that into my Wii2HDMI add-on, will the screen still do that?

  • @glitchyjoe64 I have absolutely no idea. If the problem is because of your Wii then definitely. If it's because you have a bad Cable then no. It depends entirely on what is causing the problem.

  • component cables*

  • I have composite cables and i would like to have one of these i got an 22'' led samsung and the games looks a bit ruined example on resident evil archives if i buy this item does it will be the same?or better?

  • @TheVteX Read the comment below :) if you have a nice 22" LED monitor then this should be pretty good. See if you can get an original one off Nanoya.com though, but if you do get one off Ebay or wherever it should be pretty much the same thing. On a smaller monitor there should be no problem at all it should look awesome, as long as you have an HDMI port. The more cables/devices the signal has to travel through the better. So don't get one if you don't have an HDMI adapter on the back of the tv.

  • i got this cheap hdmi adapter, i can see why you would not use it with that great quality tv. its perfect for me though as my hd tv is not the best quality and it has no component ports. when i use a scart lead from the wii to my tv it looks terrible and the adapter makes it look a whole lot better. so if you have a really good quality tv then your right dont use the hdmi adapter but if you have a cheap hd tv with no component ports this is defo the thing to use. good review :)

  • @ScroggBassSoldierz Yeah I love this TV, it was an 'older' model than the rest of the tv's in the store and it was Christmas so they marked it down by 40% it still cost me 250€ though lol. It was all the money I had back in my bank account because I hadn't started working yet. I thought I was going to regret spending so much money but I've never once looked back. Having a good television is such a blessing :) shame the Wii2HDMI just didn't cut it for me though :( thanks for the comment!

  • @Kutittaa wow you got a bargain there mate, i think its time i got a good quality tv :)

  • @ScroggBassSoldierz Tv's are cheap these days. Just make sure you get a good brand. Samsung, Sony, whatever. I'm not one to comment on brands, just don't get a no-name cheap Chinese brand or whatever.. This TV has Divx on it which makes it nice for watching Bluray off a USB stick which is pretty awesome. Some problems with UTF-8 Finnish subtitles though :/ (I live in Finland). I have to change the subs to ANSI. Mind you I had to carry this TV 13 kilometers home whilst it snowed. Christmas... :/

  • @Kutittaa wow thats a long walk lol :)
