    Roy would be insulted.

  • you tube sucks for that

  • Great video

  • I GRADUATED THAT MUSIC.......

  • This is a prefect example of what is WRONG with copyrights. They were meant to protect a work for the life of the creator.

They can always remove the disabled audo if the company that owns rights decides to change their minds, i've seen it before inmovies.

  • @bongnbolado

Time will tell, can give it few months, or just remove it, I might do that myself if this happened to me. But then again al comments would be lost might be reason candyhartman69 leaves it on here? Yes/No? Thought of that people?

  • Why there is no sound...what happened? Virus, bug or copyright? This video is only an ode to Mister Roy Orbison and not a commercial thing. For money you must go to NYSE New York or LSE London. Please YouTube make all people happy and add the sound back. Thank you so much copyright owners! Roy4Ever!!!!! Family Hartman loves you!!!

I couldn't put what I wanted for my Michael Jackson tribute video so I put one that I was aloud and actually I like the song better because it says if I could change the world for you I would, Maybe you could add that song to your video too. It is a nice gospel song. Peace Good footage though keep it find a new song.

  • ROY ORBISON IS DEAD. HE CANNOT PROFIT FROM COPYRIGHT!

  • @nathantjjordan Im sure some Jewish music industry parasite can though. Arte means nothing next to green pieces of paper that aren't backed up by anything.

  • wow the reebok commercial they just played before the video really threw off my orbison vibe

  • More about copyright - go to hell

  • FUCK YOU YOUTUBE!

  • @cfwpiano X2

  • @cfwpiano

Don't blame YouTube. Blame the copyright trolls. YouTube is a blessing, regardless of what you consider faults. There are actual humans making YouTube work. Maybe you ought to examine what you are contributing to humanity.

  • @lskarin I'm sure I'm not contributing nearly as much as you? Talk about condescending.

  • @cfwpiano What is wrong with you I certainly didn't mean to fav u

    Pirata neles !!!!!

  • no music here anymore... Seems YT is checking Roy Orbinson songs these days...

  • Orbison without sound is like a racing engine that has been turned off at the key.

  • F U CK OFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

  • @wholetthedoggo My comment wasn't an attempt to be "smarter than others". It's just that on so many videos, you see people writing "I'm 12 and I love this or I'm 20 and I love this". My point is that it just seems a little strange to have to say it in the first place. What does it prove? That you listen to good music? I should hope so in the first place! Either way, Roy Orbison is nothing short of a true legend and inspiration.

  • What voice and what a talent. Timeless is right. Wayne

  • This is a timeless song here. I don't care how you are. You don't like this one, There's something wrong with you.

  • @darthbyers1873 sure must be....you see no human being love crap..unless they were pigs...u know pigs love trash and crap. Unfortunly mostly of todays pop music is a crap. the fault is of the music videos. The music enters through ears, not eyes. And the truth, almost all today s´pop, rap, musicians? of today are much more vain, and do not know how ridiculous they are. They are clowns of Media´s circus.

  • 1001 from me.

    Jakarta, Apr 16th 2011. 10.15 PM

  • Written in 1960.

  • love roy! what a wonderful voice

  • This video not is of the year 1960 !

This is last video title Black and White of Roy Orbinson !!!

  • Goozz that man was cool in his concerts and what a voice: a voice of an angel or permit me to say the voice of God. The best voice ever been on this planet no discussion about that. I miss you Roy, I thank you for you wonderful songs!

  • How could these greats be so easily forgotten?

  • @XXdetonator890 only forgotten by those that don't appreciate it! :)

  • i would feel like a frikin god if i had his voice

  • @snoogan55 i can sing like him xD

  • This is not from 1960. It is from Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night filmed at the Cocoanut Grove in Los Angeles on Sept. 30, 1987.

  • i was sho in my prime when he came out with this song. love it !!

  • Who are the 2 morons who don't like this video? They should stand and never return to these videos!

  • Comment removed

  • Love the video but the ads are extremely offensive

  • One of the best song writers of all time !

  • This AINT from 1960! This is from aA Black and White Night....

  • I approve of the state of the like/dislike bar

  • I can always connect with the tear in his voice! Thanks R.O. for your contribution to our muscial library.

  • YES, THIS IS MUSIC AND SINGING AT ITS BEST. YOU WONT HEAR MUCH LIKE THIS TODAY FROM POP STARS.

  • @BEATLEMANIAC1970 todays music is a lot of crap

  • I'm a man and I get real emotional listening to this guy and his fantastic voice.

  • to mamalied: J.D. Souther was a very very shy man at that time. He still is. Why do you think he opted out of being one of the lead musicians and singers with the Eagles? He wrote the songs that made them famous as well as Linda Rhonstatt and others.

  • Listing your ages is stupid. This music is timeless.

  • @DarkMaiden7 GOOD music is timeless :D

  • @DarkMaiden7

I agree that music is timeless, but one listens to different genres of music at different ages. Listening to Roy Orbison and the likes when one is still a teen implies a refined taste of music. :-)

  • @DarkMaiden7 it isn't really (stupid listing ages). It just shows that some people of young ages, like myself, actually prefer good music like this, not the crap they churn out today. It is indeed timeless.

  • @DarkMaiden7 on what way is your comment smarter then other's?... of course Roy Orbison's music is timeless...it's as obvious as people from all ages like it.. so how stupid is to post your age saying you like some old tunnes?.. only in your head

  • @DarkMaiden7 People listing their age are way older just trying to be funny. Ignore them. Let's just enjoy the timeless music, REAL music.

  • @DarkMaiden7 agree

  • @DarkMaiden7 This music and this voice will be listened to and enjoyed for a least a hundred years.

  • @DarkMaiden7 I'm 31!

  • @DarkMaiden7 I'm 42.

  • @DarkMaiden7 We, however, are not. We perceive music in the time frame of our own lives not eternity.

  • serious stuff

  • im 14. and i like anything from the beatles, roy orbison all the way up to modern bands like all time low, greenday, and nevershoutnever!

  • IM ONLY 63 I HAVE TO LISION TOHIM ALL MY LIVE JUST GREAT

  • Facebook's anthem

  • Schönes Video ! Danke.

  • God bles the oldies, no matter how old u are,, and if u're so young and listen to this, you should know that you're special,,,

  • Dieses Lied berührt so mein Herz.. und meine Vergangenheit !

  • The backup singer with his hands in his pockets, who I believe is J.D. Souther, needs to look a little more engaged rather than seeming bored with the whole thing. Roy Orbison deserves more respect than that!

  • A real classic tear-jerker... One year older than me.

  • these violins at 01:10 make me go all silly!

  • Holy Crap...is that Elvis Costello sitting in the back playing guitar?

  • @nesretep08 Sure is Elvis Costello.....This is "A Black and White Night" concert - Orbison and "friends". Great DVD - get it! The song might be 1960 but this is from 1987. Amazon...17 bucks, worth every penny.

  • Fantastic, Thanks for posting this.

There is no way that this was 1960. This was definitely recorded in the '80s based on his age and the styles of the audience and other performers,

  • @dantweedy It was recorded in 1987 in Los Angeles. It's on a DVD, entitled Roy Orbison: Black and White Night. Terrific concert.

  • @dantweedy ..He means the song was from 1960..not the video. the video is from 1987.

  • Who cares how old you are. What does it matter? Good music transcends generations. Just because you appreciate something from before you were born doesn't mean you are better than anyone else. I hate conceited people that think they're superior for not following modern mainstream stuff. It's all just personal preference.

And if age really does matter, I'm sixteen. So suck it.

  • @Feitlebaum420 CHILDREN PLEASE

  • @Feitlebaum420 Great reply from a teenager. You rock. I just love to see todays youth listen to my era of music. I agree great music spans generations I have a question for you. I am 50. I grew up in the late 70's. I loved the oldies (50's & 60's), the 70's-80's music that was my youth. The 90's the music changed drastically with hip/hop and rap and grunge. The 2000's it seemed like music dropped off the scene for me. What do you think of todays music compaired to yesteryears?

  • @LesSmith45 In music I enjoy the melody more than any other aspect. I prefer pure instrumental lyric-less songs. For me rap lacks a lot of aesthetic. It puts too much emphasis on rhythm, which is usually a simple beat that repeats throughout the entire song. It's not dynamic. I can't tell one rap song from another. Same with heavy metal. And in both the lyrics are crude.

I agree with you though. The great music stopped at the end of the twentieth century.

  • what a legend... been a fan of this guy since i was six years old, he sounds even better on the live recordings than than on cd.

  • thats cool to see such young people listen to roy

  • FANTASTIC . . . and, K.D. has always said . . . one of Her Excellent Moments!!!

  • I saw Elvis Costello in the band there - this must be the mid 80s. Roy's voice was way better than that when he was younger - but hey, no one is immortal, I guess.

  • Ha! this isn't 1960! It's the B&W fest

  • Shame on the three people who do not like Roy... just like I go Fucking crazy for some Chuck Mangione!

  • fuck me this is beautiful!

  • when Orbison toured UK with "the Beattles three yers later, John Lennon said

backstage after a brilliant Orbison performance "how the hell do you follow that"! as they were about to go on

Lennon was greatly influenced by Orbison, loved his voice and lyrics

-Orbison's life was very tragic in many ways, and his music reflected this, as it should with any great artist-but it always had HOPE, a great love of life, and intense beauty, that things might turn out right in the end

  • He can still make your heart ache. The man is awesome

  • 51 years and still so awesome...

  • lol im prob the only 17 year old that listens to roy

  • @hobocarter Im 19 and listen to him!

  • @hobocarter

    thats ok...i'm 15 :D

  • @hobocarter you're not the only 17 year old :P

  • @hobocarter You'd be amazed how many teenagers listen to the great Roy Orbison..He;ll never die. Glenda-Marie xx

  • @hobocarter you are a beautiful soul

  • @hobocarter I'm 17, too.

  • @hobocarter Age is only a number.

  • i love his fringe :D

  • roy leaves a scent like mierpoix and liqour sweat

  • makes an old fellow feel young again

  • This is not from 1960. This is from "Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night" taped on September 30, 1987. I'm pretty sure Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Jackson Browne, k.d. lang, Jennifer Warnes, and Bonnie Raitt weren't old enough to be the backing musicians/vocalists in 1960.

  • HOLY CRAP , this is a rather enchanting song!!!

  • Brilliant , the real o

  • We are crying because you left us this beautiful legacy, Darling Roy. love you always, Janette.ox

  • ESPECTACULAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRR!!!

  • nobody sung about the blessings and burdens of women better than this man

  • great posting tks for sharing it

  • I saw Roy Orbison live in Kingston, Ontario, when I was 12 years old. I will always be thankful for that.

  • Ron Tutt on drums. Fantastic drummer with Elvis, Neil Diamond, etc.

  • Superstar - one of the greatest ever to step on stage

  • Is that a young Jackson Browne in the Intro??

  • Excellent song

  • <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

  • That song was recorded in 1960 but It hapend after 1960. Roy Orbinson looks older there than 1960.

  • True talent :)
