Why there is no sound...what happened? Virus, bug or copyright? This video is only an ode to Mister Roy Orbison and not a commercial thing. For money you must go to NYSE New York or LSE London. Oh well still good footage. I couldn't put what I wanted for my Michael Jackson tribute video so I put one that I was aloud and actually I like the song better because it says if I could change the world for you I would, Maybe you could add that song to your video too. It is a nice gospel song. Peace Good footage though keep it find a new song.
@nathantjjordan Im sure some Jewish music industry parasite can though. Arte means nothing next to green pieces of paper that aren't backed up by anything.
Don't blame YouTube. Blame the copyright trolls. YouTube is a blessing, regardless of what you consider faults. There are actual humans making YouTube work. Maybe you ought to examine what you are contributing to humanity.
@wholetthedoggo My comment wasn't an attempt to be "smarter than others". It's just that on so many videos, you see people writing "I'm 12 and I love this or I'm 20 and I love this". My point is that it just seems a little strange to have to say it in the first place. What does it prove? That you listen to good music? I should hope so in the first place! Either way, Roy Orbison is nothing short of a true legend and inspiration.
@darthbyers1873 sure must be....you see no human being love crap..unless they were pigs...u know pigs love trash and crap. Unfortunly mostly of todays pop music is a crap. the fault is of the music videos. The music enters through ears, not eyes. And the truth, almost all today s´pop, rap, musicians? of today are much more vain, and do not know how ridiculous they are. They are clowns of Media´s circus.
Goozz that man was cool in his concerts and what a voice: a voice of an angel or permit me to say the voice of God. The best voice ever been on this planet no discussion about that. I miss you Roy, I thank you for you wonderful songs!

to mamalied: J.D. Souther was a very very shy man at that time. He still is. Why do you think he opted out of being one of the lead musicians and singers with the Eagles? He wrote the songs that made them famous as well as Linda Rhonstatt and others.
I agree that music is timeless, but one listens to different genres of music at different ages. Listening to Roy Orbison and the likes when one is still a teen implies a refined taste of music. :-)
@DarkMaiden7 it isn't really (stupid listing ages). It just shows that some people of young ages, like myself, actually prefer good music like this, not the crap they churn out today. It is indeed timeless.
@DarkMaiden7 on what way is your comment smarter then other's?... of course Roy Orbison's music is timeless...it's as obvious as people from all ages like it.. so how stupid is to post your age saying you like some old tunnes?.. only in your head
The backup singer with his hands in his pockets, who I believe is J.D. Souther, needs to look a little more engaged rather than seeming bored with the whole thing. Roy Orbison deserves more respect than that!
@nesretep08 Sure is Elvis Costello.....This is "A Black and White Night" concert - Orbison and "friends". Great DVD - get it! The song might be 1960 but this is from 1987. Amazon...17 bucks, worth every penny.
Who cares how old you are. What does it matter? Good music transcends generations. Just because you appreciate something from before you were born doesn't mean you are better than anyone else. I hate conceited people that think they're superior for not following modern mainstream stuff. It's all just personal preference.
And if age really does matter, I'm sixteen. So suck it.
@Feitlebaum420 Great reply from a teenager. You rock. I just love to see todays youth listen to my era of music. I agree great music spans generations I have a question for you. I am 50. I grew up in the late 70's. I loved the oldies (50's & 60's), the 70's-80's music that was my youth. The 90's the music changed drastically with hip/hop and rap and grunge. The 2000's it seemed like music dropped off the scene for me. What do you think of todays music compaired to yesteryears?
@LesSmith45 In music I enjoy the melody more than any other aspect. I prefer pure instrumental lyric-less songs. For me rap lacks a lot of aesthetic. It puts too much emphasis on rhythm, which is usually a simple beat that repeats throughout the entire song. It's not dynamic. I can't tell one rap song from another. Same with heavy metal. And in both the lyrics are crude.
I agree with you though. The great music stopped at the end of the twentieth century.
I saw Elvis Costello in the band there - this must be the mid 80s. Roy's voice was way better than that when he was younger - but hey, no one is immortal, I guess.
when Orbison toured UK with "the Beattles three yers later, John Lennon said
backstage after a brilliant Orbison performance "how the hell do you follow that"! as they were about to go on
Lennon was greatly influenced by Orbison, loved his voice and lyrics
-Orbison's life was very tragic in many ways, and his music reflected this, as it should with any great artist-but it always had HOPE, a great love of life, and intense beauty, that things might turn out right in the end
This is not from 1960. This is from "Roy Orbison and Friends, A Black and White Night" taped on September 30, 1987. I'm pretty sure Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Jackson Browne, k.d. lang, Jennifer Warnes, and Bonnie Raitt weren't old enough to be the backing musicians/vocalists in 1960.

That song was recorded in 1960 but It hapend after 1960. Roy Orbinson looks older there than 1960.
