i dont know why anyone wold buy this car, you could buy a supercharged ariel atom with 300 hp for the same money as the batteries in this car. That goes from 0-60 in 2.9 sec and because it has a petrol engine it sounds better, is more fun, has a much higher top speed and is probably more reliable...
The problem here is that the electric car shown here weighs much less than the other ones. As much as I like electric cars, this is not a fair comparison.
Right now fastest electric car is from Croatia, 0-60mph in 2.8sec with 1088HP electric motor, will be soon in production line, right now they have BMW E30 converted to full electric for testing, just search for CroDriver user in youtube to see.
How about letting it quietly recharge off solar panels on your roof and small wind turbines? How about freeing ourselves from the tyranny of the oil barons who have enslaved the entire world? Maybe we should take them to international courts for crimes against humanity and sieze their assets, then use the money they have hoarded to build everyone in the world electric cars?

At $343.75 apiece, that's $1.00 per mile for tires alone -- and at that point, it doesn't matter if it gets 150-MPGE at 30 mph. The VERY open cockpit is no good for most real-world weather, too. The list of reasons why this is a bad idea is too long to post here. Technology in one area should never be used to justify bad fiscal policy.
LOL, why are they comparing it to a real car. Why not compare it to the petrol car Arealia Atom or what ever that it's based on. It weighs next to nothing so even the atom will destroy every car in a drag race! Seen it on top gear long time ago!
@Polybun Agreed, the Zombie is definitely the fastest electric road registered. I think this car might be the fastest production / new car that you can buy, that is if it's inproduction yet.
@MrZeddy100 The chassey he is using can hardly be considered production. They make maybe 3000 ariel atoms a year. The company employs like 8 people. It's every bit as production as the zombie is.
