  • how much work do the foot pedals actualy do?

  • amazing playing and beauty as well! cheers!!

  • this girl is easily the most incredible young artist ive heard in a while

  • Born in Rochester, New York, 18 year old pianist Claire Huangci has already won numerous competitions at the national and international levels, including the World Piano Competition and the Kosciuszko Chopin International Piano Competition. As the first prize winner of many competitions, she performed in Carnegie Hall in 1999, had a successful debut with Philadelphia Orchestra in 2003, and appeared as a soloist with a number of other orchestras. (Yamaha site).

  • Another one of Gary Graffman's pupils. Yuja Wang is another gifted pianist he has worked with. I was going to be a smart alec and ask what grade piano she is in...but, I know she is a concert pianist. Lovely music.

  • her polonaise is better than yundi li's. wtf.... i wanna see her in concert!!!!!

  • OH MY GOD. This is better than the legendary pianist Horowitz himself. She's an alien...

  • this girl is not normal ..fantastic and great

  • she is called a prodigy! i think she is THE prodigy!!

  • F U!!!!

    the best promise in piano!!

  • She is astonishing. A technical marvel, and interpretive maturity way beyond her years. The next Argerich or Kissin.

  • Program played here:

    Chopin: Etude op.10/2

    Liszt: Etude d'excécution transcendante n. 5 "Feux follets", S139

    Stravinsky: Etude op.7/4

Chopin: Andante spianato e Grande Polacca brillante, op.22

Liszt: Réminiscences de Don Juan, S418

    Tokuyama: Musica Nara

IMHO, this IS NOT human!! And she was only 16 here! "Breathtaking performance" is not enough!

  • What an amazing pianist

  • How can hate be propagated by such beautiful music? I suggest comments be disabled

  • She is too far intellectual than an emotional Verdi singer. And makes already an amazing and so reflexive interpretative work, so she creates an intriguingly intense music.

  • ytpiano7 south american idiot

  • Read piece of crap ( nerd..thisk343498 ) i am not South American ( by born ) but one of my nationalities is from a Country of South America. My main nationality is Italian becuase i was born in Italy if that makes you happy imbecil

    Hai Capito stronzo ?

    ytpiano7

  • But ...so which is the problem with born in South America, or in any other country? bastard? From where is Martha Argerich? Baremboim? Arrau? Nelson Freire? Cristina Ortiz? Giomar novaes? Roberto Szydon?

You are a mentally retarded ans probably a big homosexual...

    ytpiano7

  • ha ha Ay fooo .... south american idiot ... ay foo................GAY.

Firts of all i am not suth american by bron, but , so it is relevant?........So maybe you belong to some local Ghetto in Harlem adn so?

    R E T A R D E D.

    by dear.

  • yes, you retardo bravo

  • CAO NI MA CLAIRE!

  • To be honest, the only thing i don´t like too much about this wonderful great young pianist is sometimes ( specially in slow sections) she make some excesive "Expressive" manierisms, but of course it is not a serious problem. Is just a point of view of my conception of piano playing.

    ytpiano7

  • Her performance is not good and very untidy and messy. her interpretation here is laid back, no expression. could be a lot more excitement and passion in this piece. other pianists move around while they played but none were as annoying as this one. not even good piano playing.

  • So funny to have a gallery of imbecils who come here to Spam against this great pianist.

Haha an stupid : I am for Polland....and so what? in Polland was born the great Rubinstein but at the same time a lot of imbecils too..............

    ytpiano7

  • This is the piece we played in our chapel with my gramma. It makes me happy and sad at the same time. It's the best song I´ve ever heard

  • i know why they call claire an imbecil because her father is an imbecil and her mama too.

  • This went too far. It's a shame to see people like you vandalizing this otherwise enjoyable music site. Obviously you registered just to post hateful notes against Claire. Wonder why.

  • Hello "sophisticat" . It´s true what you say. Those "Spammers" belong to avery well known group of homosexuals who are Lang Lang fans, and becuase me and some persons hate Lang Lang playing and behavior, and they know we really enjoy a lot Claire Huangci playing. For that reason tehy come here just to SPAM. They are lagrettabarreto and cherygarcia and Kseto88.

    Jut be aware on them.

  • this is only the beginning bebe

  • She, her performance is entrancing. Lovely, lovely, lovely. She's bound to go public after 18. However, the schedule demand may set that back a few more years.

  • I think she could start at nineteen. Why not.

  • Boy, do I ever take that back! Listened to some other performances, and she is world class and professional sounding! What talent!

  • I want to hear her play in many different genres. She's an extraordinary, over-exemplary talent. Her "Fuielles Follets" is a DEFINITIVE performance (and if ever put on a CD, a definitive recording). Far FAR surpasses that of Kissen and Cziffra.

  • Yes - I agree - Her Liszt was simply outstanding - just fantastic!!!

  • Plays like chopin. godlike

  • I can't listen to you guys....

I am polish....her polonez is terrible...also andante spianato...she hardly misses any note..but she doesn't understand the spirit..feux follets is technically only quite ok..the only piece I like is a minor etude Chopin(but musically it is quite easy)...no offence but you are saying bullshit

  • how old is she?

  • she's still 17

  • You don't hear satisfying performances of this Chopin Op.22 very often. But she articulated the nuances required for the Andante Spinato very well. The Grand Polonaise portion is intertwined with melodic nuances and bravura passages. Her technique carried her through them very well as well. The only comment I would make is that the middle C minor section should be played even more expressively. There are some minor mistakes in the finale. But she is fully capable of perfecting them.

  • Her performance matures in depth as she gets further into the piece. In the second half of the performace, I felt that she was entirely consumed by the inner spirit of the piece. Then, it had all that one could wish of a great Chopin performance.

  • she is mad!!!!!!!!!

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

    what a technique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy

  • this is superb playing 5 stars

  • I dislike her rococo, choreographed hand movements. Other than that, her ability to tackle this sort of repertoire is prodigious.
