  • The remake sucks in every way!!!

  • I HATED that they remade this movie. It was ridiculous. The original is so awesomely horrifying <3

  • one other thing...uhh, Bennett- who is that? Al!!!!!!, it's right beside us al, it's a ship, it's a big ship.

  • thing i never knew about movie..jc said the portion of the story regarding the false signal fire to sink the ship and recover the treasure was indeed true. they were not lepers though, and i am not sure about the boat and why the people on land did what they did.

  • u should have the original cover, not the remake

  • his best 3, big trouble in little china, escape from new york, halloween

  • this will always rule

  • One of the greatest filmscores ever! And one of my favourite movies. Just amazing!

  • This theme is much more effective and inspire than The Fog remake from year 2005.

  • @ruojamies

anything is more effective and inspired than that bland and generic peice of trash. micheal bay movies are more inspired, and i never say that about anything

  • This is some very freaky music!!!!!

  • Seven mussssssssst die!

  • Its a well known statistic that the sale of fitted fog lamps went up at car dealers after this film was made.

  • I love start my day with this song :)

  • 7 people have no fog lights !

  • Such and underated film

  • Er ist der Beste und absolut Gigantisch, danke oh du lieber Gott für diesen einzigartigen Meister.

  • It's really not that hard to download YT videos/ convert them to mp3. Just use Google and the correct keywords. :)

  • Duke da God - It's Over, Pt. 2

  • just for the record, the remake sucked

  • @Wittmann73 Oh well im not surprised it did lol b/c u cant remake films from the 70s&80s && expect them to be as good as the originals♥

  • I didn't hear the Carpenter part until about 0:18; then I was like, "Ooooh! There we go!" I've downloaded many of his soundtracks/themes from YouTube via dirpy.com. The Thing, Assault on Precinct 13, Escapex2, Halloween, Christine, They Live - love this guy's (or whoever he hires) music!

  • I learnt this on piano, completely by mistake! I was just mucking about and it just happened. Very John Carpenter, simple, yet genius.

  • One of the best Jonh carpenter themes

  • do you have mp3 for song

  • the remake its just terrible, don't you think so?

  • @atariiiiable I hear ya, fella. The original was at least spooky. The next one, well... with it's addition to the story and plot, it lost the story altogether you might say. And with it, the spookiness that came with the original.

  • I have not seen this film becouse of the absolute nonfrightening and terrible remake, but yet again the soundtrack make me intressted.

  • rihanna - mad house :)

  • The film genuinely scared me the first time I watched it (age 14), and the theme is just fantastic. It's hypnotic, melodious and haunting. Love it. Thanks for uploading.

  • the fog, halloween, big trouble in little china are my favourites. he also done a homage to hitchcock, forgot the name, but was a good film. love this beat!

  • @999duhast It's Halloween that's the homage to Hitchcock; just compare it with Psycho

  • @Sznaxarna hallowenn is a homage to hitchcock?? sorry ur definitely wrong there its "someone's watching me" thats the film that was carpenter's homage to hitchcock. halloween was a teen slasher and not the original either, black xmas came before it. plus there was no hitchcock elements in halloween.

  • @999duhast I do very well know that Black Christmas was the first of the teen-slasher films. And the connections between Hitchcock and Halloween: Dr. Loomis has the same name as Marion's boyfriend in Psycho (Janet Leigh is mother of Jamie Lee Curtis). The theme of voyeruism, that's evident in many Hitchcock films (Rear Window, Psycho) is a very prominent part of Halloween, as Michael Myers is watching.

Baclk Christmas was first, but Halloween was the first copying Psycho.

  • @Sznaxarna the only relation to psycho and halloween is the mother and the daughter in the films... that alone does not make it hitchcockian, where is the wrongly accused man/woman?? dominant mothers, mistaken identities the list goes on... michael myers did not have a dominant mother we have no idea y he wanted to kill he was "born evil" bate's story is alot more complex and freudian. he doesn't wear a silly mask either n kill babysitters, there is nothing similar. but thts my opinion.

  • @999duhast Do read Vera Dika's essay "The Stalker Film 1978-81". If you study horrorfilm, like I do, you will see that there is one thing that always comes up, the connection between Psycho and Halloween.

  • @Sznaxarna thats my opinion, i just cant see the connection between the films. if you go to wikipedia and search for "hitchcockian films" a massive list comes up and halloween is not there. films like frantic, basic instinct and disturbia are there which you can see the hitchcock elements 2.

  • @Sznaxarna how do u study horror films?? sounds interesting

  • @999duhast I chose horrorfilms as a subject for my bachelor-thesis in filmscience.

  • remember seing half of this when i was about 10

crapped my pants and its still as scary then as it is now...

  • This was a great film and loved the soundtrack!

John Carpenter is a pure genius! ;-))

  • so EiN GeilER SoundTraCK!!

  • great soundtrack!!

  • is it me or when u stare at that fog face it appears to be moving ???

  • @bobbystj That's called a zoom...

  • @bobbystj yes it is to me too.....i hope thats a man made effect and not some weird haunting going on with it :D

  • really good themesong.

reminds me a little about tubular bells.

  • well these movies play on the surprise, but always the same key: a monster, or a thing, killing poor people who cant escape... but Carpenter is still a horror genius!

  • Music alway reminds me of the film Running Man

  • Damn, I love the gothicness of this theme, haven't heard anything like it in a while

  • This makes me want to rip the phone out of the wall and watch all his stuff back to back.

  • Ahhhh.....

I justed learned how to play this on keyboard; it is amazing!

Though dont you think all Carpenter themes are just the same little tune played in different keys.(e.g Halloween, The Thing)

(I dont mean they are ALL the same little tune, i just mean he made one up for each film and played it at different pitches)

But it's still a very, very epic theme.

  • @PooKneader

Sure, but that's fairly common in older films - the repeating motif.

  • I love John Carpenter's movies and music. The man is a pure horror genius!

  • me anatrixiazei ayto to kommati./..

  • lol this song was used in hhn 2008!!!!!!

gah i love this song!1 i looked everywhere for it

  • The soundtrack to this movie is some of the finest movie music ever made, and what a wonderfully stark theme............wondrous. But then again most of the music from Carpenters soundtracks are worth listening to.

  • This is absolutely phenomenal! I stand in awe of your musical genius! *bows deeply* I probably look like this right now ~~~~~~> o_O !!!!!!!!!

  • gruselig:-O

  • awesome.....JC=GENIUS

  • It's an awesome video, the effect gives the music a more haunting and disturbing effect.

  • lol the music kinda sounds like 1 of king diamonds songs

  • thanks to cinder90 for upload this file and helping us get it :)

  • musique magnifique...merci

  • great

  • Cinder90, You know where to Download this or send an link if u helpfull :)?

  • I could send this music file to your e-mail adress if you want, I think I downloaded it on limewire, but I don't know if it's available there anymore :/

  • His three best fims...'Halloween', 'The Fog' and 'The Thing.'

  • Comment removed

  • Not at all Enk64 :))

--> The Thing, Prince of Darkness & In the mouth of Madness.

  • omg finally someone else recognizes in the mouth of madness.its one of his most underrated movies i'd say,but its so bad ass.

  • I think it's hard to give a ranking list with john carpenter's best movies, because all of them are good in their own ways and I don't think you can compare any of them with each other, but thats me :p

  • I wouldn't compare them, I think all three are awesome together. :)

  • @Enk64 OMG even if they are greatness incarnated you forgot 1997 and Big Trouble... awesome two too :)

  • @Enk64 Amen to that!

  • JUST LOVE IT!! <3

  • Carpenter, god of minimalism! Gosh, i LOVE his early tunes and movies. BTW...Compare this to the opening of "The Running Man" Main Theme and see where Harold Faltermeyer stole his also great tune, hehe...just like Golsmith stole the main theme from "Total Recall" from Basil Poledouris "Conan- Anvil of Crom". SO slightly changed...its so obvious in both cases. Hm, then again...great music is great music...and as long as it's good I don't care much, hehe...
  • awesome !!!!!!

  • I agree with anyone who thought the Halloween remake was fucking horrible.. in fact, I don't really enjoy any Rob Zombie movie! and The Fog remake could`ve been better.. alot better

  • the organ is a brilliant instrument

  • the new fog was terrible...just like rob zombie fucked up halloween one of my favorite carpenter movie...john carpenter is a master in horror filmmaking...and his masterpieces are better left original

  • Was this song ever sampled by other artists I feel as if i've heard it elsewhere =S

  • Hey do have the mp3 for this score?

  • I can send to your e-mail if you give it to me :)

  • i eventually found it :), thanks anyway

  • I can send the file to you, if you give me your e-mail adress where I can send it hehe :D

  • @Cinder90 BrotherGoons@gmail(dot)com

  • @Cinder90 do you take request because if you do could you upload the soundrack from the New version with Tom Welling and Maggie Gracie?

  • long live the Carpenter classics!

  • I watched a film called stephen king's the mist that was a brilliant film

  • I totally agree with you, The Mist is an extremely good movie. Didn't do so well at the box office though and I think that was because of the twist at the end. I however thought the end was excellent. Loved it!!!

  • I'm afraid I disagree. I thought The Fog remake was terrible! Long live the original! John Carpenter has made some excellent cinema.

  • Amen. I don't mind remakes at all, and I think John Carpenter's "The Thing" was an excellent film. But the remake of "The Fog" broke my heart.

  • Awsome movie and excellent music. I did like the remake, but not as good as this one. The Fog remake was a good stand alone movie. One of the very view remakes that's descent. UNLIKE Zombie's "reimagining" of Michael Myers. That was just....white trash and october trash and Jack-o-Lantern trash and all trash! What do you expect from Zombie though? An Oscar-worthy drama? LOL!

  • hammer film + musik !!!

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! :D

  • GEIL **************

  • Interestingly, in the DVD commentary, almost everything remotely scary in the Fog was added after the filmwas first shot. Makes you wonder what the heck happened in the original script! In anycase, it's a great ghost story, and this music certainly helped.

  • Carpenter's Fog had impressive cinematography; I even remeber that when I first saw it as a teenager

  • i love the film the fog scared me the new dont scare u at allgfvcxx

  • John Carpenter's The Fog was a great film, so was the soundtrack :)

  • la pelicula no es tan terrorifica como su banda sonora ¡¡genial!!

  • A classic theme, often overlooked. The Fog remake was absolutely awful.

  • They all are

  • I didnt see teh remake simply because I liked the old one enough...whats the point of seeing remakes, especially if you know they are going to be bad?

  • I agree, but the new age cant accept the older movies and people think they can recreate them but they cant.

  • i also agree haha i am only 17 but i like all of the older movies better, like the original dawn of the dead and the film evil dead is classic :P

  • i am also 17 and agree with both of those movies!

  • i never saw Carpenter's The Fog but it looks pretty scary :S, the only movie i saw of his masterpiece was The Thing and i was pooping (and pissing) in my bed for like 2 months xD

  • i reccomend assualt on precingt 13 or escape from new york. the remake of aop 13 sucks ass. the thing is also good. just like vampires.

  • Carpenter's The Fog is a Masterpiece, and so the OST :)

    Great work.

  • good quality 5 stars

  • well, just try downloading this video with a special program or use filesharing sources. That will do! ;)

I heard about the version of 2005, but never saw it. Maybe it's wort a try. =)

  • no, it isn't.

  • No, the trouble was they switched the two females roles around.

  • kann mir das jemand schikn ?!?!?!

    icq : 358153757

  • wtf?

  • Hu?

  • very good video posted but I still don`t understand this ghost face with this scary music.

  • It's the face from the movie The Fog, the new version of The Fog...It's the cover of the movie "The Fog" from 2005.

  • oh Thank you!

    :P

We don`t have The Fog in Brazilian Movie Rooms, this movie don`t come into my TV guide and I don`t have cable TV. I will search this Fog in Internet or video stores.
