Yeah,funny can you tell me where I can get a new Ferrari for 100k? The R8 is a direct competitor with the low level Ferrari and the C4 Porche,both of which are about 15 to 20k more. So I would say the R8 is a bargin for the money. Nice car ,priced well,and the best AWD system on the plant. Quattro rocks. BTW, I'm a former Ferrari salesman,and at present Porche/Audi. No car has more bang for the buck then the R8.

Yes, I have heard of them...in fact I sold them for 3 years.Now to answer your comment,the Lotus does have some nice performance but it isnt much less money. At least not enough to compensate for the depreciation and SERVICE costs associated with it. I had one with the V-8 twin. Lucky for me I worked there,so it wasn't really out of my way to take it to service twice a week! LOL I gave it back after 5months.

Interesting that the Audi is built on he Gallardo platform, thats what I drive ATM, The Audi looks like it will just be a rebodied Gallardo soon when they add the V10....servicing the Lotus isnt a big deal its just a Blown Celica engine, I do my own tuning, computer mapping and servicing so cost isnt a factor....Im thinking of buying one as a club car for my daughter. Here in Australia the R8 is double the price of an ExigeS and until they add the V10 it wont keep up with it on a track.
