  • of course u can, everyone can do the splits, even 50 year olds (unless they have medical probs) lol. your still really young, 19 isnt all that bad, u can do the splits! :)

  • Well it certainly helped me feel some pain. Here's hoping it works. Will get back to you in a few months. Liked the bit about you need some legs to do this, lol. I just hope you haven't disappointed legless people too much, lol.

  • This does in fact work very well. Some of friends thought I was nuts, but now here is a video that shows exactly how I did it... I'm passing it on to them. Thanks for posting this, it was so cute.

  • We dont really know if it works only if you show people( that watch) that you can do the splits, but I'll try it

  • a fairly good amateur video, however to get anything out of these stretches you do need at actually hold them for around 20-30 seconds to allow muscles to feel the pain ( not too much, enough to feel a stretch) and then get comfortable at holding the stretch.

  • by the way it hurts more when u do the box splits it does not hurt tht much when you do split a xxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • we did that in my ballet class! and its really working! on 2008 i was able to make the split all the way down but with the holidays and stuff i lost it... now i only need like about 2 inches to make it! again! lol but it really hurts...

  • hey it takes patience!! :) relax it will take probably 4 or 5 days until you see any results.. btw you have to stretch for and hour or two going over and over stretch, splits, stretch, splits and you will get it!!  i have more stretches for you if you will mail me thnx

  • Hey Gina,I like your video. You make doing the splits sound so easy. and I have a question about the last stretch that you showed: Was the first stretch related to the last stretch? It loooked like you were stretching your legs sideways with your arms on a chair?But I'm not sure if I could do this for 4 minutes. Every time I do side leg stretches, I get a neckache the next day.     only if you don't stretched

    but be careful, always go down slowly.

  • When i was a teenager practicing karate i could do the splits. I can't now. Stretching really hurts my tendons (i think that's what's hurting, who knows). I wish i had maintained what i had. It would have been easier to maintain then to have to start from scratch now years later. I will try your method. Hopefully, if i can stick with it i will let you know (or anyone viewing) what progress or lack of progress i've made. Thanks. 5 stars.

  • I think you'll do it soon, 'coz people who did those kinds of stretching can do it faster than others, that 'coz the subconscious and the unconscious parts of mind saved these actions in the hidden memory, so once you start, your brain will send msgs to your muscles and order them to regain these skills even if it takes time. good luck and please tell me what happened with ya.

  • Nobody is good off if he forces himself to do things that require some physical and psychical skills to master. Frankly speaking - just think about what you want to achieve while training for the splits...

    If that's not motivating enough - just quit it ;-)

    I think no gymnastic trick can be achieved without hard work - wether it includes pain or not ;-)

  • It's been 3 weeks now and I can't do the splits yet, but I'm already 15 and I was really unstreches before I started so it's going to take a bit longer for me ;)

    If this works, I'll never ever even think of buying some Guru's book on stretching :D

  • I've been doing this for 2 weeks at least once a day and I'm going further down. 2 weeks ago I could hardly touch m toes but now it's no problem any more! I always watch a movie or tv during the tutorial it's less boring and it takes your mind of pain ^^

  • I use to have the problem as well, have you tried warming the backleg a big more than the other leg?

    Is the Backleg your Opposite leg?

  • Iv been trying this 4 about 4 days and almost at the ground, just about 3 more inches I also love ur accent and your so cute but should u try it on carpet or floor because iv been trying on carpet and now i have 2 really gross blisters and iv used socks but i still get them so could u pleeze help me
