And Eugene was simply saying the way youtube cut out the people who aren't partners and might not be able to generate a certain amount a views get cut out and dont get banners and other perks simply because someone happens to have more people who click a yellow button.

Well Dave, I agree with you for the most part on this video, but I can understand why Eugene may think the partnership is selling out. Eugene doesn't run any websites (that I know of) so he may not need the money. In your situation where you have many websites, you need the extra money. But I do think that both you and Eugene deserve the extra money no matter where it goes.

David - I think the YouTube Partners Program is a good exchange. YouTube contractually holds us to upload content that does not contain any copyrighted material, and they can sell ads without having to worry. For this, we get a very small (pennies) revenue share, and two banners. I don't see any problem with this at all, and, like I say, it is good for all parties involved. 5 er, five, ahh, whateva.

Things have deffinately changed as in the way you make your vids, as in you feel you HAVE to rather than kind of more wanting to, and bringing up stuff like your viewers and other such stuff up, also the content is less Spur the moment and more planned videos.

I would take the partnership without a doubt. Just because you have ads doesn't mean you are a sell out, or have turned into someone else. I really hate when people try and hold others back from evolving by complaining about this kind of stuff. After all, David doesn't force anyone to watch his content. It's his hobby but it's also his life. He is right, this is how the world works.
