Great video, thanks for posting it. Pretty neat to see the original MGM Grand (now Bally's) under construction. I like the 8-minute mark when your dad is posing under the Caesar's Palace sign with the Dunes sign in the background. Dunes closed 16 years ago today ... sigh.
incredible footage! First time I went to vegas was in 2001, how it has changed since even then is really cool, but 1973! WAOW! It's amazing to see how your parents -and that generation- seemed to be mesmerised by exterior elevators. Thanks for sharing :)

Amazing stuff.
One of my all time favorite filems -- the James Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever was shot around the same time.
Your video had much more footage than the segement of the movie. However, I encourage you to Netflix it and/or check Diamonds Are Forever out.
You'll be stunned at seeing the same "Las Vegas Early 70's" that your parent enjoyed.
