Just practice knife edge flying... then if it ever happens to you, you will be able to land it... I lost one wing one time, but the plane was a trainer, and unable to knife edge... still I tried.
@wjkssmd Its similar but not completely like knifeedge. Stabilizer becomes more like an aileron. Most critical point is before toucdown where you have to level the wing. Best thing to do is to practice it in RealFlight.
I just cant believe it. I have to fave. this video and watch it whenever I crash my plane. Jim what did you do exactly? Used the right aileron on full right while you control the turns with rudder?
if it was me i would have just set the tranmitter don and wached it go in nice save man.
its people like yu that make other piolits not toal there planes wing this happens to them since they know it posible to land when the plane is like this.
Crashtruk2. Why was that necessary? i get tired of people getting on here and posting offensive and just plain dumb comments. The guy did an amazing job bringing the plane down to earth and you call him a Dickhead. well done. I can only think that your life is pretty small. If your comment was directed at a previous post then i apologize and this is directed at all the other lame commentators.
i have been flying for about 2 years. I work practically 60 hours a week so don't get much time in the air. My brother has been flying for years and years off and on. He thinks this is not possible. We have argued and debated it a number of times. I think it is great flying.
I read about this! awesome control good job! i've had to do that a few times with the 54 on realflight haha, hope to see you back at attitude again soon. -Eric Ostrom
i recently lost both wings on my typhoon 2 and the tail section and the motor compartment and was still able to land safely.i had a video of it but lost that too!!!!
This airframe was damaged in a prior incident and was repaired. The repair looked great, but as you see did not hold up during aerobatics. But again, I emphasize, THIS IS NOT A NEW AIRFRAME STRUCTURAL FAILURE. WE IN NO WAY IMPLY THAT THERE ARE ANY FLAWS WITH THE WINGS OR CONSTRUCTION OF THIS PLANE.
Damn...........I have never seen that done before!!!! Congrats Jim on getting it back and you flying skills are awesome....on the verge of freakish....but awesome!!!!

With a hyper aerobatic plane and a large rudder that landing can pulled off easily all day long. Nothing new here.
